22.01.2022 Kangatraining is now online! Whilst I have already spoken to my current Kangamums and have always taken school holidays off there is no change at this time, (classes are not running). Online Kangatraining classes are now available as a video link or a live Zoom call, so please comment below if you want those details, for registered mums only.... At this point my soul is digging deep and I want to offer all mums support in so many other ways. So keep in touch with me Sami Jinnette if you need a dash of connection mixed in with a laugh and some good vibrations. As always, love and light to you all Sami xxx

09.01.2022 One in five mums will experience perinatal anxiety and / or depression. We also know that a significant number of non birth parents experience similar rates of ...mental illess. Left untreated, these illnesses can have long-lasting impacts on parents, partners, baby and the rest of the family. The key to getting help is being able to recognise that something is wrong and being brave enough to ask for help to ‘tell someone who cares’. That might be talking to your partner, child and family health nurse, doctor or PANDA’s National Helpline. Learn more about the signs and symptoms: https://bit.ly/3n3d5aK Image - An illustration of five mums. Four of the mums are coloured grey with just one shown in colour. 07.01.2022 So yesterday my baby turned FOUR! I can remember so vividly when she was born and the midwife telling me her temp was high and after running some tests she had an infection and would need to stay for at least five days. So I left the hospital without her. It was the hardest thing and the worst feeling I’d ever felt. ... In a teary daize I remember calling the hospital from home saying I didn’t know what I was doing. I had Mat at home with a chest infection and phnemonia, my boy Lenny who was 2, and just me to figure it all out. The midwife at the Special Care Nursery at Casey Hospital was a true angel. She told me that Summer was just fine and when I got the rest of the family sorted then come in and be with her. So that’s exactly what I did. Called my parents to get them to pick up Lenny and have him for at least 5 days, which was the longest time him and I had ever been apart from each other. I left Mat at home with everything he needed to rest and recover. At a time when I needed him the most I knew I had to do this by myself. It was just the way it was. So after wiping the tears I spent five wonderful days and nights staying in the SCN bonding with my baby girl. Safe to say she has never left my side again. She’s been my Kanga baby for the last two years and honestly teaches me so much. Thank you for picking me as your mum. I really thought you would just fit in with us, but I can clearly see that your purpose on this earth is big and your smile and heart lead the way. You’ve changed all of us for the better

04.01.2022 It has been a long time between posts on here. Hope you didn't miss me too much! I've used this time to focus on myself. I'm trying to enjoy this time with my kids while we remote learn and I'm trying to support my hubby and our electrical business too. But I'm missing you all so so so so much. I'm missing see your babies growing. I'm missing hearing about what's happening in your lives and I'm missing dancing around the hall with you.... So I just wanted to say when the time is right for me and my family Kangatraining - Mansfield & surrounds will be back and better then ever! Sami xo

03.01.2022 We know sometimes there are barriers that make it hard to leave the house to come to something like Kangatraining. We know how hard it is to get out the door w...hen you haven’t slept, or your baby hates the car, or you’re not feeling good about yourself, or your toddler won’t cooperate, or you’re not sure if it will be worth it. Over the next two weeks we’re going to share with you the stories of five Kangamums and all the doubts that might run through your mind about getting out of the house for something like Kanga. Right now, it’s more important than ever for parents to get out and connect with other parents; to move, to talk, to dance, to have fun. Please help us share our stories to encourage parents right across Australia right now to get involved. If you’re still restricted at home, virtual classes are available. Otherwise, all of our trainers are ensuring we have best practice measures in place to ensure your safety for face to face classes. We understand your anxiety and worry about coming, but trust us when we say they’ll disappear the moment you walk in the door. It's what we're all about. And you will he SO GLAD you came. X
