22.01.2022 Two months of these two. Two months of being a Mum of these two. Two months of life lessons, of the heart exploding joys of a newborn, of the smack iin the face adjustments and pure love of the older sibling, the family of 4, parenting lessons, mistakes, fails and triumphs, smiles, tears and laughter, of elation and despair, of bubbles and burst bubbles, of farts, wees, poos, burps and spews, and all the adventures of this extreme sport of being a Mum. Thank you Jude for c...hoosing us. For the lessons you bring with you. For the hope and light you bring in a world mid pandemic . For the ultimate gift of love in our lives again and the constant reminder of what truly matters. And for the soul warming smiles you gift me every morning at 5am when the house and world is (usually) quiet, the best start to the day you could ever ask for... even when followed by a chunky puke to make me laugh. There is no clock watching, book reading or google searching, just listening, watching, feeling, trusting, intuition... a little more confidence and a kid brother to keep up with, and I mostly remember to breathe... So different to the first time as a mumma. Not easy. But choosing joy, and celebrating the gifts in each moment, surrendering when I need, and embracing the lessons, stages and phases of life and motherhood. @ Echuca, Victoria
