24.01.2022 Merry Christmas my dear Kangafamily! Thank you so much for all your support this past year! I am so grateful for you, my Kangafamily, for so so much. Loving the shift to virtual classes ... Sharing how much Kanga means to you and yours Being a huge part of my life Giving me a greater purpose than I ever realised Inspiring me, cheering me, loving me, lifting me making space for me in your lives Opening my arms to a wide, loving and embracing circle I wish you all that is fabulous for the festive season and the new year, whatever it brings. Hopefully some kanga xx See you next year! Love, Kato x

23.01.2022 It's our second kangaversary! Time indeed flies when you are having fun - without the proof of how much my joey has grown in these pics, I wouldn't believe two years had passed. I am so grateful to have found kanga and to have these memories with my son, my kangafamily and my community. I feel so blessed!... The biggest, most heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone of you for your contribution to this journey, I wouldn't be here without you. Kato xx

22.01.2022 Yasssss!!!!! We're coming back in-person and we can't wait. Term 3 starts next week Thursday 30th July and runs until Saturday 26 September 2020. I'm looking to run hybrid sessions so if you can't make it to the studio we can link you in via zoom! Please message me if you are interested in this feature of our classes.... Times remain the same, Thursdays and Saturdays 10-11:30am at ADDICTED.studio - dance, gym and fitness. Message me to book in and secure your spot! So looking forward to seeing you all. Kato xx

21.01.2022 We are bringing back the 80s! Such good tunes and on request from a passionate Kanga (and provision of requests for the playlist) we are rocking to the 80s for the next block of Term 2. I love song requests and playlist inspiration - and anything else that means participants will LOVE Kanga even more.... Join us if you are interested in an 80s dance party - who wouldn't?! Kato xx

21.01.2022 We know sometimes there are barriers that make it hard to leave the house to come to something like Kangatraining. We know how hard it is to get out the door when you haven’t slept, or your baby hates the car, or you’re not feeling good about yourself, or your toddler won’t cooperate, or you’re not sure if it will be worth it. Over the next two weeks we’re going to share with you the stories of five Kangamums and all the doubts that might run through your mind about getting ...out of the house for something like Kanga. Right now, it’s more important than ever for parents to get out and connect with other parents; to move, to talk, to dance, to have fun. Please help us share our stories to encourage parents right across Australia right now to get involved. If you’re still restricted at home, virtual classes are available. Otherwise, all of our trainers are ensuring we have best practice measures in place to ensure your safety for face to face classes. We understand your anxiety and worry about coming, but trust us when we say they’ll disappear the moment you walk in the door. It's what we're all about. And you will be SO GLAD you came. X

21.01.2022 Remember leaving the house before you had kids? Purse, keys, phone, out the door. Now, sometimes it feels impossible. Nappies, wipes, spare clothes...where are the damn keys? And so many scenarios to prepare for. So many variables and unknowns.... What if he screams the whole time? What if I’m the only one who doesn’t have it together? What if he pukes or poos all over me? Or someone else? Add a toddler in the mix and trying something unknown and sometimes it feels like it would just be easier to stay home. But being alone with that fear and those feelings doesn’t help anyone. At Kangatraining you’ll feel welcomed and supported the moment you walk in the door. You’ll see instantly that we’re all in this together. We know the challenges you’re facing day to day because we face them too. You’ll meet other parents, you’ll move your body to great music, you’ll gain strength, fitness and friendship and most of all... you’ll have fun. You owe it to yourself to try. And you’ll be so glad you came.

21.01.2022 We're back! Thanks for your patience while I disappeared for a week and got my head stuck into learning the new Kanga floorwork. The Kangatraining - Tupler Technique collaboration is a really exciting enhancement of our program and I'm looking forward to showing you how it works. We will stay virtual for the moment and start adding some outdoor pop ups in the coming weeks. I know many of you are looking forward to seeing each other in-person, we are getting closer!... Term 2 Block 2 will run from 11 June - 4 July, book in singly, weekly or twice weekly! Join us as usual on Thursdays and Saturdays, 10-11:30am. Drop me a PM if you haven't started and would like to!

20.01.2022 Behind the scenes! I’ve been a bit quiet on here lately, as I have been busy studying and sprucing up my skills for our new Kanga - Tupler collaboration. I am so excited to be bringing what I’ve learnt to you.... Our floor work structure is updated with our international collaboration with the Tupler Technique. And we incorporate these changes into the whole class to enhance your abdominal awareness and rehabilitation. I am one of two instructors in Australia completing an extra training program so I can become accredited. As part of this training I am rehabilitating my own and a case study's abdominal separation, by doing intensive exercises and wearing a splint. It’s amazing so far and I’m already seeing improvements in my core control. This approach is all about being, fit, strong and healthy - the measuring tape you see is used to demonstrate improvements in diastasis rectus separation, not weight loss. The gorgeous goddess was a gift from Rebel Black from The Rural Woman, her curves carved from opal clay and celebrates the "lusciousness" of the female form. Yaasssss!!!! The custom Kanga mug was a gift from one of the first participants to come to our classes and handmade by Birdland Functional Art. I am so blessed to have these opportunities and to bring them to our remote community. And with the magic of videoconferencing, anyone can join in! 20.01.2022 Goodbye ADDICTED.studio - dance, gym and fitness! We are so grateful to the wonderful Kellie and Amanda for nurturing our kangafamily over the past two years. Thank you for hosting us each week and for all your support and enthusiasm for kanga in our community. We wouldn't be here without you cheering us along.... We wish you all the best for your new adventures. With our love Kato, Morrison and our Kununurra Kangafamily PS our new in-person venue for the remainder of Term 4 will be announced tomorrow xx

20.01.2022 CHANGES TO KANGATRAINING An update from Kangatraining Australia xx Kato The Kangatraining program may have been established over 10 years ago, but we pride ourselves on continually adapting and updating our program to ensure our classes are always the absolute best practice in postnatal exercise.... This latest development is without doubt one of our most exciting changes yet. Kangatraining has partnered with Internationally renowned DRAM expert Julie Tupler of Diastasis Rehab, to make changes to our class to ensure that all of our exercises are not only DRAM safe but also will have significant benefits of closing DRAM and strengthening the core muscles. DRAM - Diastasis of the Rectus Abdominus Muscle, is more commonly known as abdominal separation. It's a separation of the connective tissue joining the muscles down the middle of the stomach. It’s a common condition for postpartum mums due to the stretching of the stomach during pregnancy. Having a DRAM can lead to many ailments such as poor posture, back pain, bloating, looking pregnant well after your pregnancy, constipation and many other symptoms. All of our trainers are currently undergoing training to learn our new techniques so that they can introduce these changes to your classes. This means you’ll notice some changes to our floor work. The exercises may feel more challenging but that’s because they’re going to be so effective in really targeting your tummy muscles. It also means we’re changing the process for checking DRAM. The new way will take more time but because the exercises are all DRAM safe there’s no hurry in doing this. But the new technique will be much more accurate and will mean we can track your amazing progress and results as you move through the term. This is a really exciting time for Kangatraining and we can’t wait for you to experience these changes. Bring on even more benefits of Kanga and your fittest, strongest self!

20.01.2022 Huzzah! We’re back baby! Term 4 2020 is our 2 year anniversary and a shorter term than usual. Plus my brain is exploding with all things physio and pelvic floor and I can’t wait to share!
