24.01.2022 I have had this dilemma quite a few times , usually resulting in a very numb bum because I choose not to move lol
24.01.2022 Why the Motherhood Series? When I was pregnant with my little girl, we got offered the standard antenatal class through the hospital. It was extremely basic inf...ormation about birth and what happens afterwards. We never got offered any education on breastfeeding, our postnatal body and what to look out for mental health wise in the first 6 12 months. After I had Abigail, we got allocated our child health nurse (who was great) but as the mother we didn’t get any follow up on how WE were doing and at my 6wk check-up I didn’t even get examined (I had received stitches after birth), just asked a few basic questions and sent on my merry way. I had to fumble my way through breastfeeding, and sleep routines. I tried going straight back into the high impact dance routines I was doing pre pregnancy and ended up hurting myself as my body wasn’t ready (I didn’t know). I ended up suffering from PNA and separation anxiety although didn’t realise until later on (I though it was normal hormones). When I found Kangatraining we learnt all about the woman’s body post birth from a Women’s health physio (mind BLOWN) and the exercises we should and shouldn’t be doing after birth (again mind blown). Mental health was an exceptionally big part of our training as well as exercise can play such an important part in having a positive outlook PLUS we bond with our babies. After this I realised my passion for learning about the postpartum body and how I wanted to help as many women as possible, so they too didn’t have to fumble through being a new mum like I did. That they could have all the information at there fingertips to come back to anytime and have the support of myself and other mums when shit gets hard. 24.01.2022 End of term details and next year
23.01.2022 Tomorrow will be your last chance to win, so make sure you enter and tag your friends so they can too . Dads, husbands, partners you would be in the good books for sure if you won this for her .
22.01.2022 Setting up for class with our new pink and purple scarves . . We use these scarves when doing our ab exercises during the floor work. They are used to bind our stomach to bring the transverus adominus (TAs) back together (slightly) and take the pressure off of the linear alba (the ligament running down the middle of your stomach) so we can effectively work our abs safely and help reduce the separation if we have one. . We have 2 weeks left of term and there is still time to book your free trial.

20.01.2022 Want to get a carrier but have no idea where to start? Here are a few things you should look for when looking for a carrier: Cinchable seat - So the part where bub sits should be able to move in and out along the waist band to ensure you get the edge of the material to bubs knees. Mouldable back panel - The back panel of the carrier (so the bit that sits against baby's back) should be soft so it can mould to baby's back ensuring a snug fit with no gaps.... Waistband - Your carrier should have a waistband to give you as the wearer alot more support and comfort. Carriers with no waistband tend to get uncomfortable after 10 - 20 mins as all the weight is on your shoulders instead of distributed across your hips as well. If you have any questions about carriers at all please send me a message, I am more than happy to help
19.01.2022 Feel good in your body . . I must say when I think of being sexy, 2 words that DONT come to mind is Pregnancy and workout. But I must say when I put my new MummActiv bra on man did I feel GOOD . . So comfy, supportive and I must say bloody sexy . I felt so good I nearly walked out of the house without a shirt on .... . In our journey as mothers we tend to forget to feel good about our bodies. We should embrace the bodies that grew our little humans and brought them into the world, not pick at all the things that we think is wrong with them . . It took awhile to change my mindset but now I can look at myself in the mirror and love what I see back. I grew a child, brought her into the world and now I am growing another. . Its a beautiful thing our bodies can do and we need to try and love our body as it is . See more

15.01.2022 Ummm NO just NO . When babies couldn't fit through or they would get stuck in the pelvis, parts of bone and cartilage were removed to create more space for the baby. . The procedure, which was known as a "symphysiotomy", was originally performed by hand using a small knife and saw to remove the bone.... And to make things worse, this was all done without anesthesia to a woman in the middle of giving birth. It took a long time and it was messy and obviously painful. . However, in the 1780s, in a bid to make the removal of the pelvic bone easier and less time-consuming two doctors named John Aitken and James Jeffray invented the chainsaw. See more

We only did 2/3 of our actual tracks today due to time and I did more explanations, but imagine how many calories i would have burned if i did the full 40mins of tracks . The intensity of our class is completely up to each person. When we do a squat track if you need more of a workout you can go deeper as long as your technique is good you GO GIRL .... Push yourself to where you are comfortable but not to where your technique is compromised. We have modifications to all exercises for any injuries or if something doesn't feel right during class. 05.01.2022 Getting our cardio on this morning . Man it felt like we were in tropical Queensland this morning, it was so humid outside . But its so important to keep moving when pregnant but also in general .... This pregnancy I've felt so much fitter as ive kept myself moving and working out throughout my whole pregnancy. Once bub is here, still try to keep moving but start gradually so starting with a 10min walk and increasing as you feel up to it. What have you done this week to keep moving

I love exercising with our babies as each class is always different . . 2 weeks left until term is done so there is still time to have a go. . Book now See more
