02.01.2022 What a year 2020 has been. Have been scheduled to complete my practical training a few times this year but due to COVID have been postponed. Praying that the end of September goes through which I am sure it will as the course is held in Brisbane. How perfect has the weather been lately. Would be so nice to be doing kanga with our little ones during these times. Lucky September isn't far. I am still so excited to be bringing this to Rockhampton and am looking forward to meeting new mum's around the area.

02.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone What an exciting year to come. Getting excited to be able to help other Mum's in Rocky not only in being active but also getting out talking to other Mum's and not feeling so isolated.

01.01.2022 Due to coronavirus the course has been put on hold hopefully not for too long though. So will keep you posted once my training has been completed amd we can get started here in Rockhampton.

01.01.2022 Thought I should introduce myself. My name is Leah, I am a mother to 2 boys Delany (9), Tucka (7) and daughter Lulu (1). I am also a full time step mother to Diesel (10). My partner has a job which requires him to work away and not on a rotating roster so its great when he is home but who knows how long or what job is next. So I have learnt to be very independent on parenting as such. Why have I chose the Kangatraining path for me. In 2019 I moved from my home town to Ro...ckhampton which is a massive change for me and my family. Quilpie had a population of like 600 to Rockhampton which has probably 80000. Though the locals say this isn't big. I moved my 3 school aged boys up and in the week of moving up, my youngest decided to make an early appearance to the world. My partner constantly worked away. I didn't know any one, I had no friends. The post natal depression started to kick in. I could feel the blues settling in. I didn't have time for mum's groups cause I was constantly doing school pick up and drop off, plus uni lectures and resi schools. So come the end of the year when school holidays came and uni holidays were on I started looking into what exercise I could do where I could take Lulu with me. Paying for extra care was out of the picture. There wasn't much around unfortunately. I saw on one of my friends instagram pages a photo of her kanga family so I thought I would look into it and see if there is a trainer in Rockhampton I could get in touch with. Unfortunately there wasn't. I started thinking, there would be so many mums out there similar to my circumstances and feeling isolated either being a new mum or a mum with children already and don't want to venture out of the house with them. So I thought about becoming a trainer and trying to help mums find a comforting place where there is no judgement and the kids can join in and we are all there for each other through thick and thin. Unfortunately due to COVID it has delayed my training but I am feeling more and more passionate about this post COVID and I am sure we need each other more than ever. My background is definitely not in the fitness side of things or dancing but I am passionate about women's health and depression so I am willing to make the sacrifice to get out there and learn so I can help others in the same boat. Can't wait to start counting down the days until I can start offering classes here in Rockhampton. Talk soon, Leah x
