25.01.2022 One of our fav tracks! Kangatraining is always good for a giggle. You'll sweat. You'll go left instead of right (or maybe that's just me ). You'll have a ball! Join us for Term 4 - registration link in comments. You won't regret it!

25.01.2022 Can you Shout a Coffee for COPE?

25.01.2022 "We offer gap free 6 week postnatal assessments (between 4-8 weeks Postpartum) for all women as we believe you deserve to have an hour to yourself, to understand your body and make informed choices once you have all the information you need."

25.01.2022 We have 4 weeks left of the Term block (plus an additional week which can be used for any make up sessions, or as an extra class), which means you can Kanga right up to the Monday before Christmas! Join us for a thoroughly enjoyable start to your week - you'll get your postpartum body moving, enjoy some beautiful sleepy (& sweaty!) snuggles with your babe, and maybe even make a new mum friend or two. Participants will need to be at least 6 weeks post-vaginal/12 weeks post-Ca...esarean birth, and have medical clearance to exercise. Baby carriers are required for Kanga, but if you don't have a suitable one, you can hire from my kit. Registration link in comments

25.01.2022 An absolute stunner of a day for Kanga in the park, where we were joined by Carla from @kangatraininghoxton and Shelley from @kangatraining_castle_hill Then we made the most of the sunshine with post-Kanga drinks and snacks from @twobyfourcafe

25.01.2022 In Kangatraining classes, baby carriers need to meet particular requirements. I will assess how the carrier fits you and how well your little human is supported. You may notice that we follow the TICKS guidelines: . Tight; In view at all times; Close enough to kiss; Keep chin off chest; Supported back. I'll do a separate post on the weekend with more information on these points. . When you register for a class, you can check if your carrier is suitable for Kanga. If it's not,... or if you don't own a carrier, you can hire one from my kit. . Join us for Term 4! Classes resume on Monday 12th October. To register, head to the link in the Insta bio or the BOOK NOW tab on FB. See more

24.01.2022 Some of you will remember this little face! He's 4.5 now and rarely comes "up", but when he does, oh my heart, he snuggles in and we enjoy the most hilarious conversations. I'll share one of our early babywearing photos, and a more recent one, in comments. The theme for this year's International Babywearing Week is "Embracing the Future". What does that mean to you? For me it's a simple explanation - physically holding ("embracing") our small humans - whether in arms or in a carrier/wrap/sling - is in fact, holding our very future. Our children ARE our future. I'd love to see your babywearing photos or for you to share some of your favourite babywearing moments.

23.01.2022 UPDATE: ALL SORTED. Currently experiencing a technical glitch! If you attempt to register for Term 4 and get this unhelpful message, please be patient as I investigate on my end.

23.01.2022 With a heatwave hitting us, you might be concerned about keeping yourself and baby cool in your carrier. . Dress in light clothing - a footless bodysuit for baby and high neck singlet/tank for you (this reduces the skin-to-skin sweatiness on your chest) . If outdoors, stay in the shade as much as possible... . Wear a wide-brimmed hat or carry an umbrella, and pop a soft-brimmed hat on baby . Keep up your water intake! . Outside of Kanga, try an off-centre carry or back carry if developmentally appropriate for your baby (chest-to-chest is the hottest position) . A cooling towel can be used with babies over 6 months old . Take turns wearing baby with another adult if that's an option Keep the conditions in mind and happy babywearing!

23.01.2022 The Kangatraining Instructor course is coming to Sydney in April! For more info, click through to the link

23.01.2022 Join us for Kanga Mondays in Term 4! Registration is now open.

22.01.2022 No kids today means I'm getting some work done. Which includes running through floor work and choreography for next term. Why not join us - registration link in comments. Mondays 10am Lalor Park, from 12th October.

22.01.2022 This is the method used for back carries in Kanga. If you're new to back carries, its recommended that your child is able to independently get into and out of a sitting position. This ensures that they have sufficient trunk support for a safe and comfortable back carry.

18.01.2022 Have you seen the beautiful muslin swaddles up for grabs over at Kangatraining Australia

18.01.2022 This is one of my favourite parts of Kanga - the smiles and interactions and random conversations with the little humans. Brightens my Monday without fail.

18.01.2022 Pop Up outdoor Kanga this Thursday! 10am Fairwater Estate. $10 or use the session as a make up for any missed classes.

14.01.2022 This is so apt for me. Super rare these days, but I swear the ONE TIME I don't toss a carrier in the boot...

13.01.2022 That’s a wrap on Kanga for 2020! It has been an unusual year that’s for sure! We’ve welcomed new mums throughout the year, and have been blessed with some returning mummas and their new babies. We saw a shift from regular face to face classes to a virtual option when lockdown first occured. We were able to move to outdoor classes once restrictions eased after a few months, and eventually back to our regular Lalor Park venue.... Despite the challenges, new friendships were formed, and I want to thank every individual who attended classes during 2020 - your support of my small business during this tumultuous year has been so appreciated. I've thoroughly enjoyed spending time with you and watching your beautiful little humans develop and change and grow. Stay safe as we farewell this year, and I hope to see some familiar faces when Kanga resumes in February. Registration for Term 1 is open, see the link in comments on FB or head to the link in the bio on Insta. Love Amy x

13.01.2022 If you're attending classes with us at Lalor Park, please be sure to join the closed group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1954700148129918/ (you must answer the membership questions or your request will not be approved).

13.01.2022 If you’ve welcomed a new baby into your family this year, you’ve no doubt felt the disappointment of missing out on a traditional mum’s group. Why not join us at Kangatraining and create one of your own! Kanga is a specifically-designed postnatal program, with low impact movements and a focus on abdominal and pelvic floor muscles. Babies are worn in ergonomic baby carriers and usually snuggle in for a nap. Don't have a suitable carrier? Hire carriers are available. We meet... at Lalor Park Community Hub on Monday mornings, and start our week off with a lovely hour of social connection. What better reason to get out of the house, get your body moving, and bond with baby. Term 4 runs from 12th October to 21st December (10 week block with week 11 running as an opportunity to make up any missed classes, or as an additional session). To register, head to the BOOK NOW tab (I’ll also pop the link in comments). You’ll need to be at least 6 weeks postpartum (12 weeks if you’ve had a Caesarean) plus have medical clearance to exercise. If you’re keen but are experiencing financial stress, please get in touch and we can work something out. You’ll be so glad you came x
