24.01.2022 Why doesn’t Kangatraining, as a postnatal exercise class, ever discuss weight loss or getting your ‘pre-baby body back’? I’ll explain. First things first, people want to lose weight for various reasons, both health and aesthetic related, and that is A-okay. And Kangatraining is Low Impact Interval Training, meaning that if weight loss is what you’re trying to achieve then yes, Kanga can absolutely support you in that goal and has helped many mums and trainers achieve this.... So why aren’t our trainers motivating you with ‘think of that bikini body!’ Or promoting that we’ll get your pre-baby body back? - EXERCISE IS MORE THAN WEIGHT LOSS There are SO many reasons that exercise is good for your physical and mental health; strengthen bones and muscles, improve the function of your body and ability to perform daily tasks, give you more energy to live your life, increase your chances of living longer....the list is as long as it is significant. In the postpartum period a safe return to exercise plays a pivotal role in improving the function, recovery and mobility of your body as well as improving your mental well-being. Every single workout you do is doing so much good to your body and mind and we want THAT to be our focus. - KANGATRAINING IS MORE THAN EXERCISE In addition to the physical benefits listed above, Kangatraining is going to play a key role in your emotional and psychological health and well-being. Socialising, having fun, dancing, doing something fun with your baby, building confidence, being part of a supportive community. It's so much more than a fitness class and SO MUCH MORE than a way to lose weight. We want you to enjoy Kangatraining for all of its benefits and for the way it will make you feel...happy! - YOU ARE MORE THAN YOUR WEIGHT Above all else, that number on the scales has zero value in our class. We want to CELEBRATE YOU and that incredible body of yours, for all that it has done in bringing your baby in to the World and/or raising him or her! Your weight and what you look like compared with what you did before baby does not mean a thing to your family, your identity, your friendships...Your baby. Your health and happiness matters. So why don't we talk about weight loss at Kanga? Because we've got far better things to focus our energy on and we want you to too. Credit Kangatraining Australia

20.01.2022 Who knew it was going to be this hard to make mum friends? I’ve always been so envious of the mums who went through their pregnancy with a bunch of friends and transitioned straight in to mum friendship groups with them. Or those who’s new parents group was filled with like minded mums who hit it off and spend their days hanging out together doing mum-friend-things. For the rest of us, it’s a lonely world navigating the ‘mum friend dating scene’. It can be awkward for even th...e most social mum butterflies, let alone those of us who would rather watch Teletubbies than strike up a conversation with a total stranger. But there is no doubt about it, parenting is a whole lot more manageable and enjoyable when you can share the load, the ups, the downs, the wins, the challenges, the coffees, the chais, the tantrums, the witching hours, the teething, those tired days and those amazing milestones with friends. You don’t have to socialise at Kanga. It’s cool to turn up, do your workout, have a blast with your bubs and go home without having to make a peep. But if you’re on the hunt for your tribe, it’s what we do best. We finish each class with a ‘circle chat’. It’s our way of going beyond the small talk and actually getting to know each other. Each week we learn a little more about you and your bubs if you’re feeling up to it and it gives you a chance to get to know the other mums and babies is a really natural, supportive, judgement-free environment. You don’t have to put yourself out there. You just have to get there. The rest will just happen. And you’ll be so glad you came. Credit Kangatraining Australia

18.01.2022 First Kangatraining sesh with my son, cried pretty much the entire time (walked in with him crying)! But because I had the support of my kangatrainer and other mums around me, I didn’t feel judged or made to feel like I was interrupting the class.

17.01.2022 My first baby found her love of dancing at Kanga!! #gradingday Don’t worry you won’t be graded on your dancing at Kangatraining

17.01.2022 I had a sleepy bubba at Kangatraining Toowoomba today. It’s been a while! #workoutredface #happy

16.01.2022 First day back at Kanga today! Had a blast!! Can’t wait to show local mums Kangatraining .

14.01.2022 Hi fellow Mummas I would just like to introduce myself, my name is Sarah and I’m a mum of one beautiful 5 year old girl Maddilyn. I also have a new bundle on the way soon to arrive in August. I enjoy music, dancing (with my daughter normally behind closed doors lol) and working out with my personal trainer Kahler Hellyer. I have a background in Pharmacy which I love as I thrive on helping others. My husband and I have lived in Westbrook for nearly 6 years and we absolutely ...love it here. Our little family love the outdoors and being active. I was first introduced to Kangatraining back in 2014 as I attended classes with Nat in Toowoomba. I had no experience in baby wearing but I absolutely loved dancing and working out with my daughter. Personally It had so many benefits for me. It meant I had an excuse to leave the house, socialise with other mums, get back to exercise safely and above all have fun which helped so much with my mental health. Now waiting to welcome our second child, it has made me want to bring Kangatraining closer to our community. Here in Westbrook and I can not forget about our neighbours Wyreema and Cambooya as I believe every mum should feel she has a place to go for support and fun. I have currently undertaken an intensive course in Melbourne to be able to safely help mums get back to exercise post baby. I have more exams to fully complete my training. After I have completed the whole course I will then need to get the all clear with my doctor to resume exercise after having my new bub. Having said that classes will be able to start around mid September, if all goes to plan. If you have any questions about Kangatraining please don’t hesitate to message or email me. If your wanting to start classes before September make sure you head to Kangatraining Toowoomba and see Nat you won’t regret it. With Love, Sarah

12.01.2022 There are so many reasons you might not come to Kangatraining. But so many more reasons why you should! Worried that if you’re not running or jumping you’re not... getting much of a workout? Don’t worry. Kangatraining is LIIT; low impact interval training. The combination of exercises, the sequence that they’re done in and the duration of class means that you’re getting a hec of a workout and working on both your strength and overall fitness. And it’s suitable for all fitness levels, because each of our exercises can be modified to be a little easier for those starting out or more challenging for those who have advanced. And because you’re up and moving and exercising to music you're going to get those same endorphins cranking that you might get from more high impact exercise like running. And those mood lifting hormones are going to help get you through the rest of your day! Kanga is perfect as either an interim to get your general strength and fitness up before moving back to more high impact exercise or for the long haul til your baby goes to school Come have a try. You’ll be so glad you came.

09.01.2022 I always found at least a couple kanga sessions got both my bubba’s used to the carrier. Would fuss so much

09.01.2022 How great will you feel about yourself once you’ve smashed out a kangatraining class! None of my workout clothes fit me after my first so I would wear such daggy clothes. Don’t let that stop you from getting in some self care.

08.01.2022 Need to know more about Kangatraining? Read this great article from Kidspot featuring Nat and her Toowoomba Kanga mums.

07.01.2022 UPDATE! Due to #pregnancyandmumlife I won’t be up and running with classes as soon as I’d hoped. I’m enjoying my newborn bubble at home but will slowly get back into study and my exams needed to be the best kangatrainer for local mums. I really can’t wait to take classes so I can also start rewarding myself with the benefits of Kanga!

06.01.2022 Coffee! It's part of our Kanga culture. It's a time when Mums come together after their workout to connect with other Mums. To vent, to share, to ask, to li...sten, to support. For so many Mums in 2020, this sacred coffee time hasn't been possible. The year has included isolation, loneliness, disconnect and little to no support. This week, November 8 to 14, is Perinatal Anxiety and Depression Awareness Week. We're asking you to donate the cost of your coffee to a wonderful organisation called COPE. COPE support parents, health professionals and communities with education, resources and awareness. Please help us to help them. Our Kangatrainers across Australia are accepting donations in their sessions or you can donate via the following link; https://donorbox.org/shout-a-coffee-for-cope-3 Thank you
