24.01.2022 Even completed a cycling badge the week before with cubs, nice 5.6km ride, bike care and safety knowledge!!

23.01.2022 Joeys, cubs and scout returned last night!! Cubs did navigation and maps last night!! Oh and we might have snacked on Tim tams but shhh don't tell their parents !!

17.01.2022 1st Kaniva Scout Group, would like to thank the wider community for their support and assistance through out 2019 and wishing you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS !! We finished up with a visit from Santa, walked the town selling Xmas cakes for Kaniva Lions group, ate chocolates and BBQ tea.

16.01.2022 ALL FAMILIES : Kaniva's Archie Grey Nursing home is in lock-down, and thus the residents have no one to visit them. While our scouts (anyone really) are unable to participate in activities together, in what better way to teach them to think of others than to CREATE CARDS AND WRITE LETTERS TO THESE DEAR ELDERLY PEOPLE WHO ARE LONELY AND NOW WITHOUT VISITORS. All I am asking is a small letter/drawing a picture to ask how they are doing, this is a great opportunity to teach kindness and compassion to our children, as well as serve someone in need. Please email me your letters and send me your pictures and I WILL PASS THEM ONTO the residents !!

13.01.2022 Thanks to those whom supported our Movie night, cubs and scout are now enjoying supper and ready for their sleepover!!

13.01.2022 We are back and in full swing of things. We are at our capacity of youth at the moment. So we have a waiting list!! Scout completed some water activities, cubs had a games and some badge work presented and joeys had healthy eating !!

11.01.2022 1st Kaniva Scout Group is taking an early break Wednesday March 18 2020 Dear families and friends,... We have decided to start the school holidays early at 1st Kaniva. Many families are seeking less contact with others as a way to mitigate their risk at this time. And nothing is more important in Scouting than the welfare of our members. So there will be no Section meetings or other Scouting activities until at least term 2. We will be monitoring the situation closely and will provide an update at the end of the holidays. We are very disappointed - but we’re also excited to hear that Scouts Victoria is developing some ‘Scouting at home kits. Stand by for news on how we can keep doing Scout stuff despite the pandemic. 09.01.2022 Last week Joeys, Cubs and Scouts put in a great effort and helped weed, fill up garden beds, make some new garden beds, plant some strawberry plants and herbs in the community garden. What a effort TOP effort scouts..... and thanks to all parent helpers!!
