21.01.2022 Moorditj day to start Dilbi Kannajil! Special thanks to Aunty Mingli McGlade and Uncle Ben Taylor who both delivered a moving Welcome to Country. Kobi then expertly guided us through language and song in the sunshine, sprouting new shoots in truth. Woolah! Additional thanks to Susie, Bella, Cathi, Joanna & Joan and all the MM support crew

21.01.2022 Woola! A new series of Kannajil workshops, aptly named 'Dilbi Kannajil', is all set to begin on 12 August 2019 from 12:30-2:30 at Trillion Trees. Dilbi is the local Noongar word for "new shoots/green leaves' and is also a nod to our friends at Trillion Trees. Kannajil means 'in truth'. See you on the 12 August! Bring your koorda (friends)!

17.01.2022 Nyorn...Yesterday we had our final Dilbi Kannajil for this year. Huge thanks to Auntie Mingli Wanjurri Mcglade, Uncle Ben Taylor, Auntie Josie Boyle, Kobi Morrison and the Madjitil Moorna Choir for a moorditj few months of Noongar language, culture and music.

13.01.2022 Dilbi Kannajil is a community workshop series held at Trillion Trees in Hazelmere, where you will learn Aboriginal songs in Noongar & English. All backgrounds & abilities welcome! Yarning and singing, Kobi Morrison and special guest elders will lead us to new understandings of First Peoples culture and language in a safe and inclusive space. Our weekly sessions will begin on Monday 12 August at 12:30-2:30. Come along and enjoy a yarn, a sing, a laugh and a cuppa!

Our mass choir song at Sing Out Sydney 2019 celebrated the UN Year of Indigenous Languages with Christine Anus incredible Kulba Yada...y in the Kalaw Kawaw Ya language from the North Western Island of the Torres Strait. Join 560 choristers from 21 choirs around NSW in singing along.

06.01.2022 Next Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September is the Guildford Songfest, featuring a moorditj line up choirs and performers from all over WA, as well as workshops, for all ages. Madjitil Moorna Choir has kindly invited Dilbi Kannajil participants to join the open workshop on the Saturday with the MM choir. 04.01.2022 Kaya Dilbi Kannajil Koorda (Hi New Shoots in Truth Friends), We had a great session led by Kobi in the shade of the boorna (trees) last week and were joined by new participant Nikki with baby Jasper. Wanjoo wanjoo! The season of Djilba delivered warm weather and flying ants made themselves known to a few participants. This week we met in the studio which was flying ant free! The ladies from Nulson joined us again and were in great spirits. Its always beautiful to watch the l...adies reconnect with Angelasmiles and squeals of joy from all three yorga (women)! Ang, youre a moorditj yok (deadly woman)! We also welcomed Aden, Mark and MiaWanjoo wanjoo! We have just 3 weeks left of the Dilbi Kannajil workshop series! 23 September well reconvene in the studio at 12:30 for more Noongar language, culture and song. Thanks to those folks who have brought afternoon tea along. Ill bring a birthday cake to share next week! ;) 30 September: Kobi will be joined by Wongatha Elder, Aunty Josie Boyle who is an expert story teller and musician. Also joining us will be the Koorlong Noongar Songs in Schools team so make sure you bring your koorlunga (kids) for this one! 7 October: Kobi will once again be joined by the Koorlong Noongar Songs in Schools team and a guest Elder (TBC). Noongar Singing Workshops for Beginners in Busselton With Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse...
