13.01.2022 Hi Students and Parents I hope you are tuning in to our you tube site and training hard I have enjoyed looking at some videos sent to me of families training together and look forward to more. I will be glad however, when we can get back together in regular classes. Nothing can ever make up for that, seeing each of you face to face and doing things together. In the meantime stay safe by following the advice to get rid of this virus from our lives.... Best Regards, Sensei David and Chloe

12.01.2022 Hi All, we have a change to inform you about regarding parent seating. As we have had nil community spread for a while and the allowable hall numbers have increased, we welcome parents to wait on seats spaced with social distancing in the kitchen, rear waiting area (near toilets) and entrance waiting area. If more space is required, please let us know. The door to kitchen can be left open for ventilation but we still ask all students to bring their own water bottle please. Students for next class we ask to please still remain outside until called in for class so there’s no crowding. Thank you! Cheers, Chloe

12.01.2022 Sensei is staying updated with COVID-19 precautions!

10.01.2022 Dear All, Some of you may have seen the latest release from Qld health on the 3 day lockdown for greater Brisbane (see https://www.qld.gov.au//current-/greater-brisbane-lockdown). This means we can not operate karate classes for tomorrow, Saturday 9th January, or Monday 11th January. ... Please spread the word as this has come up fast and not everyone may have seen email or this post.

09.01.2022 To All Students and Parents Kansai Karate Clayfield, Great news! We are able to restart classes face to face on Saturday 13th June. Though social distancing and strict sanitisation will be necessary, it will be great to see your smiling faces and witness your enthusiasm. Our number allowable in the main hall (Dojo) is limited to 20 but if we have an overflow we can accommodate another 5-6 in the upper hall and lock it off with an Instructor. It counts as a separate venue. I...f numbers become a problem down the track we will re- schedule classes but for the present class times will remain the same as they have been in the past. Personal water bottles are a must as multiple people may not use the Kitchen and glasses Entry to classes will be via the usual door and Exit will be through the large main door. Any Students waiting for the next class must wait outside, social distanced, until the current class has exited. IT IS IMPORTANT if you have any of the symptoms, suggested by the Health Authorities, that you do not come to training. In such a case please phone Sensei David 0412041533 and we will arrange for you to have the class on the web as we have been doing. If there is a financial difficulty, caused by unemployment or otherwise, because of the COVID-19 Lockdown, please speak with Sensei David, IN CONFIDENCE, and still come to training. Fees will remain at the 50% rate for June and July. Eagerly looking forward to seeing you at training again, Senseis David and Chloe See more

02.01.2022 Hi karate team, For those who have not yet heard, government restrictions from midday today mean we will not be able to run classes as normal. We appreciate your support and will move to online class seminars and worksheets for you to practice at home. There are no classes face-to-face today onwards. This government restriction on indoor and outdoor gym etc. will be reviewed in a month but the prime minister mentioned it could last 6 months. This is so we can have continued ...health of everyone in our nation. We will offer half price membership from April 1st for anyone that would like to continue training online. Though we are volunteer staff, the community centre still has ongoing costs (rates etc.) that we will need to continue to pay. For those that can continue half price membership for the period, we will send you material and be available online for coaching. In addition, once we start back up can offer catch up classes and half price membership for an additional 2 months. We understand that some people will not be able to continue any membership and once we start back we will contact you all and welcome you back to the club. If you still want to continue but are in financial hardship, please contact Sensei David as we want to help you however we can. It will take us a couple of days to setup since we only found out last night and this is a new venture for us. We thank you for your patience and support and hope you all are healthy and well! Kind regards, Sensei David and Chloe See more
