20.01.2022 Once again, with the ever changing situation of covid, I have updated my studio’s #covidsafe plan. Rest assured that all precautions are taken to keep everyone healthy & safe at @k.a._pilates I also keep first aid and CPR current. Ongoing education is also very important as an instructor, so I may be able to provide the most suitable care for my clients!

05.01.2022 Pelvic Floor Dysfunction & Women’s Health Physio Up until a few months ago, I never really gave this a second thought. Nor had I heard about a Women’s Health Physio until recently. During the course I did with Brooke from @balancefitnessandnutrition I heard some rather stats and stories about PFD (approx. 50% of women experience some grade of pelvic organ prolapse ). We discussed how taboo this subject appeared to be. Of course it’s not a dinner conversation starter bu...t we need to be more comfortable in talking openly about what goes on ‘down there’. Not every woman who has been pregnant or given birth will experience PFD. There are many other influencing risk factors aside from these that can contribute to PFD - even elite athletes and men aren’t immune to some degrees of it! So... How can I help? All new clients are screened with a confidential client questionnaire, appropriate exercises are prescribed and if need be, recommendation to see a WHP (this can be done before commencing Pilates sessions, or after depending on circumstances). I look forward to helping all my clients become #healthier and #stronger
