25.01.2022 2020 70.3 Busselton THE SWIM - Feeling good in the water leading into the race. I had a swim strategy that went straight out the window when I was day dreaming and missed the start by a few seconds. This small mistake derailed the entire race plan which I started to adjust in my head as we entered the water. Feeling like a flat battery in the swim trying to find some rhythm. Also @mattburton_01 on my feet was not part of the plan and never is but seems that’s how things have gone lately, this causing more on the fly adjustments. Thanks for the snap @focused_ninja_photography
24.01.2022 Tracking more than just training data. Yesterday’s HRV and recovery score from @whoop showed me it was a good time to give the performance needle a push. This is some lactate shuttling at the back end of some solid efforts. Do you know your zones accurately? If you want to discuss getting things dialled in give @bkperformance.training a private msg
24.01.2022 MONDAY MOTIVATION - go after your dreams. Fuck what the others say.
20.01.2022 Some crazy stressful times for all. The road ahead is uncertain. Something that has resonated with me and we can all follow. Don’t complicate things. Control the controllables. Nail the basics.
19.01.2022 What you do when your backs against the wall. Will define you. Be the difference. Not the excuse Thanks for the snap @focused_ninja_photography
18.01.2022 In these tough times, there is light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to look in the right direction. Together the light is brighter #mensmentalhealth is something that a hits very close to home and has had a huge effect on my life. This time is hard for everyone, so reach out to your mate and ask if he’s ok show them know they have your support
17.01.2022 Find yourself in a new scenario. Out of the water first and onto the bike off the front by a minute in a draft legal race. Options?? Only 1 Go all in. HARRY IM DROPPING THE HAMMER the new @trekbikesindo Madone a smooth fast ride but receiving it the day before made it hard to dial in. No excuses here rode hard and was able to hold of the chasers for the 40km snap from @bow_motret
16.01.2022 I found 2020 super tough and had to make adjustments to the plan on the fly. Pretty happy with what I achieved. Both racing and in life. Thanks for everyone that helped support me through a tough year. FUCK YOU 2020 I pushed on and can’t wait for 2021
16.01.2022 The current situation has bought so many changes. I got my head down, staying focused on the path ahead with some fresh guidance. You need to adapt to the changes. Learn to be changeable. Can the focus be better? @iqbrew Did anyone notice the note I left myself for some drive? It was in the story. ... First person that can repeat it and follows our @bkperformance.training gets a free @bkperformance.training pack See more
15.01.2022 The cheeky grin you get when you know your going to pin a number on and race tomorrow. Throw back to my training camp on the streets of Bali Indonesia some epic times. Going to Embrace the pain tomorrow
14.01.2022 First off the bike means I was being hunted by @kurtwesley and after a wrong turn in t2 he was a lot closer than I wanted. Out onto the 2x5km loop I settled into a good rhythm in the blistering hot sun of Broome. I was caught about 5km into run and we battled it out with some surges and pace change, made for some exciting racing. At the 8km mark kurt put a surge in which I unable respond to and it opened up about 7-10sec gap which I was unable to close even with my best effort. The last km was my fastest but still not enough to catch him. Thanks @broometriclub for an amazing event and @laurenhuddy for the snap
14.01.2022 ON THE HUNT @im703busso chasing the the lads up front @guyrcrawford @ryan_bailie never give up on your dream
13.01.2022 It all started with a dream. Don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do. You are your only limitation. #mondaymotivation GET AFTER IT @roykamael on the tools
13.01.2022 It’s the small things in life that remind how rich I am. My triathlon journey has given me moments that are irreplaceable. Thanks @abbymurrayphotography for capturing another special moment for ever
12.01.2022 Backs against the wall. I’m ok with that. This is where I thrive. I know where I’m going. I will break the wall down. Thanks for the snap and all your hard work @focused_ninja_photography
12.01.2022 Stay focused. You don’t need anything great just be consistent. It’s a slow process. Quitting doesn’t speed it up.
10.01.2022 JUST BECAUSE MY PATH IS DIFFERENT. DOESN’T MEAN IM LOST. Don’t let anyone else dictate your choices. They don’t know where your going and if their on your path, they are lost.
09.01.2022 Rewind a few weeks back to the @im703busso bike leg. Aboard the new @trekbikesindo #speedconcept fresh @vision_tech_usa I was set up for a great day. Running smith as silk after the lads @ceramicspeed and @bunbury_cycles gave it the finishing touches. But the body don’t feel like it wanted to play although I felt strong. I was missing the spark you need to race up front in a 70.3 knowing that anything can happen I did my best to stay in the hunt and find what was missing. Thanks for the snap @focused_ninja_photography
08.01.2022 My dreams will scare you. I will achieve them. So can you. Get the fuck out of your own way. There are no limits
07.01.2022 I don’t wait for opportunities. I make them. I’m coming to cash in. Thanks to @pvharrison for the snap
06.01.2022 My passion is racing. I was lucky enough to head up towards the top of Western Australia for some solid racing in the heat with @broometriclub who put on an amazing event. After coming out the water with a PB swim 40secs down to @kurtwesley I had to drop the hammer on the bike. I wanted to catch him and do some damage on the bike as a 10km running race off the bike with an ITU professional didn’t excite me at all. Was able to get back to the front and get a gap for the run
06.01.2022 Stoked to pin a number on again and race. Fish out of water in a road race but racing is racing. I’ll take what I can get. Stupid mistake got me dropped 35km into the 88km race but teamed up with these two guys and between us the never give up attitude chasing hard seen us loose about 5min to the leaders but a solid day out finished off with a nice 12km run off the bike. Always push your limits. Thanks to @trekbikesindo @buildabike_bali for the support

04.01.2022 TRACK TUESDAYS is how we roll @bkperformance knocking out 28x400m on 2min10sec cycle for @benstone3 birthday. But the goal was some speed and consistency. Nothing great comes from 1 good session it’s consistent execution over a training block.
03.01.2022 This sport has bought me so many opportunities. The best ones are the least expected. Sharing race days with my daughter second to none. What’s your own personal moment triathlon bought unexpectedly?
02.01.2022 #timetrialtuesday brought to you from the @exss.events duathlon state championship where @focused_ninja_photography snapped me catching air with my mouth. Charging round champion lakes trying to limit the damage in a 5km run 20km TT 2.5km run format. Fun blowing out the cobwebs and giving the engine a rip
02.01.2022 Great leaders don’t set out to be a leader...... they set out to make a difference. It’s never about the role-always about the goal.
01.01.2022 Dialling I’m some TT efforts for @im703busso New whip thanks to the support of @trekbikesindo @vision_tech_usa @ceramicspeed @pedalare_cycling for always making sure I’m comfortable @djiglobal @djiaustralian for the epic footage
01.01.2022 The run. Survival mode. After a solo TT of the front of the race on a new bike and position due UCI rules applied being so 50mm behind the bottom bracket is not what I’m used to. The hip flexors, lower back and quads were all right and cooked. This made it difficult to run with the added heat and group of chasers being a little fresher after some smart work together. But with 3.5 minutes up my sleeve I gave it the best I had but by the 5km mark @jauharijohan had me in his sig...hts. By 6km he had moved passed with a solid surge I went with him but that was short lived only 45sec or so. Limped home at 4min km pace to hold onto second place. Racing what I love to do and someone once told me to always push the limits of the race as there nothing to learn out the back and it has always played a part of how I have raced as a professional and that’s full gas. Just do your best not to make the same mistakes twice. I feel I defiantly dictated the dynamics of the race congratulations to @jauharijohan for the win See more
01.01.2022 Some great racing at the weekends @im703busso managed to run back up to the business end of the race. Came down to a sprint finish for second with @ryan_bailie a tough ask for this old diesel to toe to toe with in a 100m sprint. A lot of work put in through covid19 and some return for the hard work. Congratulations to @mattburton_01 dominating win
