21.01.2022 The wait is over...the party starts at 5pm tonight. Reminders: Santa's Cave is in the shop next to Lee's Closet.... Raffle tickets $2-00 each, available at the KBA stall near the library and all prizes are on display in Santa's Cave. Raffle drawn tonight and prizes can be collected from the Cave. Kapunda Xmas Lights competition and Best shop window in Kapunda competition Get those decorations up now - judging will be done next week. Have fun tonight everyone! And please don't forget to stop by the SES, MFS and CFS stations and thank the guys and gals for their amazing efforts over the last year.

20.01.2022 AN URGENT CALL FOR HELP HAS GONE OUT FROM KBA/Bill Adams for helpers at the Pinery Bushfire concert. Can you help, can you share this? Thankyou. LENDING A HAND- AN URGENT REQUEST The Kapunda Business Alliance is assisting the Kapunda Harness Racing Club to convene the Pinery Bushfire Relief Concert to be held at the KHRC complex on Saturday 19th.December. The concert starts at 4p.m. and goes through to 10p.m. G...ates open at 2p.m. The KBA role includes staffing the event and assisting with catering arrangements. First shifts will be from 1.30 through to 4p.m. Second shift is from 4p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Third shift is from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Fourth shift is from 8.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. We are in desperate need of help, and would greatly appreciate KBA members and friends making themselves available for this much needed fund raising opportunity. How lucky was the Kapunda township? Here`s our chance to help our bushfire victims, proceeds will be sent to Uniting Care-Wesley and Blazeaid. These are the positions that require staffing. Manning two soft drink stalls, 4 shifts need to be filled. Traffic counters, 2 gates, 1 person on each gate, 4 shifts needed. Rubbish bins to be emptied during course of the event, mainly around catering areas. 3 people each shift, 4 shifts needed. Runners. To congregate in front of Secretary`s office in readiness to run errands. 2 people, four shifts needed. Ladies and gents outside portable toilet attendants. 2 men and 2 women per shift. 4 shifts needed. Queue patrollers. This is a PR job to keep those waiting to enter the concert as happy as possible. 2 persons on the main carpark shed entry, one on Hancock Road. First and second shifts only. PLEASE DO YOUR BIT FOR THIS WORTHY CAUSE. It will be greatly appreciated. REGISTER YOUR INTEREST. 18.01.2022 I've only been involved with the Street party the last 2 weeks doing the Facebooking...but have seen in that short time the dedication and sheer hard work the committee have put in for months for this community event. Thanks for your hard work! Best wishes, the party facebooker. xxx

15.01.2022 From Julie Lecons: Just to let you know One White Kite is doing sweet and savory crepes, coffee & tea. We have a liquor license and all profits from sale of bubbles will be donated to the Pinery Bush Fire and Kapunda Christmas Street Party. We have an oversized frame with hats for families, teenagers and littles to have their photos taken on the cameras/phones. We will also have a red combi van parked out the front. Would love for you to promote what we are up to on the night. Can you tell me who else is stationed down our end of town. Also how do we enter for best window or is this judged by the committee looking at our amazing street?

10.01.2022 But of course the great attraction was the arrival of Santa in the MFS truck and his residence in the Cave, decorated beautifully. Face painting was another big draw card.

01.01.2022 HOT OFF THE PRESS... PINERY BUSHFIRE CONCERT POSTPONED Due to the horrendous weather conditions forecast for Saturday, the Bushfire Committee today decided to postpone the event. While disappointed that the event must be postponed, it was agreed that the catastrophic conditions and risk to all attending, performing or volunteering was too great. Full details including re-scheduled time will. be posted as soon as it is available.
