09.01.2022 Did you know? The Herald Printing Office in Kapunda Light Region South Australia used to be the Northern Star from 1860 1863, thought to have printed the first regional newspaper in English, in South Australia. www.lightsouthaustralia.com #seelightsouthaustralia
06.01.2022 A reminder that the Museum is closed when weather is 38 or over on the news the night before. Some volunteers are elderly and some have properties to protect so please understand and remember we would still love to see you sometime cooler in the future. Kind regards The Kapunda Historical Society Inc. Please share so all who maybe interested don't get disappointed and keep safe & cool for the next 4 days
06.01.2022 Just a few of the things you may come across as you tour the 3 buildings of displays. There's only ever small change kept on the premises and no eftpos. Family $12, Adults $5, children $3 and pre-arranged group bus tour discounts are available. We do have wheel chair access through a side gate. Opening times are 1-4pm daily, exept extreme weather or exceptional circumstances, a quick call can save any disappointments. The only access to toilets are located across the street, close to all 3 buildings. We all volunteer and hope you are amazed with the variety and fun to be had for all ages and thankyou for coming and please spread the word.
