19.01.2022 Tonight I run my endurance specific strength and swim sessions: 6:15 strength and mobility flow along - meet at kilcunda foreshore grassy area near park @6:10. 7pm group swim / swimrun for those chasing the Bass coast series events. The strength and mobility sesssions focus on injury prevention or prehabilitative exercises, a mix of dynamic stretching, core strength, Pilates and yoga combined for a total body flow along.... The swim sessions we focus on technique and some short intervals , catering to all abilities and speeds. Most of my Monday night crew are beginners so we work mainly on open water skills and technique drills. Then those who want to can add in the planned intervals. 10.01.2022 Hey Friends, it's been a while but 'The Travelling Triathlete' is making a comeback - I'll be heading over to Bali's Nusa Lembongan in less than 2 weeks where I'll be competing in the Bali Hope Swim Run. Hoping to raise $2000 in 2 weeks! That's the challenge for me as I count down to the Bali Hope SwimRun. 04.01.2022 On December 5-9th this year one of my athlete's and good friend Nina and I will be partaking in the first ever Bali Hope SwimRun Event! We're partnering up with Bali Children Foundation to raise money to combat plastics pollution on the Islands of Lembongan and Ceningan. Our goal is to raise over $3000 each where 100% of the profits go to not only expansion of their recycling centre but to also facilitate awareness campaigns on plastic pollution and how we can create a more ...sustainable ecosystem. The environmental challenge presented by plastic is well documented. What is less clear is what we can do as individuals to tackle this problem. By combining our voices and supporting better recycling infrastructure and greater awareness among young people we are actively building a better future.
