18.01.2022 Karalundi Aboriginal Education Community Aboriginal Corporation is undertaking a process to review it's membership base. The constitution requires the majority of members to be indigenous, and there is no intention to change that. The review will ensure that Karalundi keeps an active group of members who can attend AGM's (either in person, via proxy or electronically) and who will take an active interest in the corporation. Due to the need to adhere to ever changing school ...regulations, subtle changes to the constitution need to be made on a regular basis. These changes need 75% of the membership to agree to. The last two AGM's have seen only around 17 -20% of the membership base attend, and so we haven't been able to make the required changes. Many of the members listed on the ORIC website have limited contact details, or have moved and not kept their address up to date with Karalundi. We are asking for all members to please contact Brendan Webb via email, sms or phone (0422 520 683) to indicate their intention to either remain, or be removed, as a member of the corporation by 30th of September 2020. If you know of a member who may not see this message, please contact them to let them know. The board will be observing the process and voting on the membership base in early October 2020. If you have any queries about this process, please contact Brendan Webb ([email protected], 0422 520 683). Thank you.

10.01.2022 Dr Toby McLeay has recently celebrated his 20th anniversary at Ngangganawili Aboriginal Health Service. This is a remarkable measure of service and commitment t...o the local Martu community. Dr Toby has made a significant contribution to taking our medical service to where it is today, from the introduction of Communicare, a staunch supporter and active user of My Health Record, introducing Dr Toby’s Healthy Food Choice labels at the local store and many other initiatives. Dr Toby gives every client time to listen to their story, he remembers adults when they were young children and knows the family tree of many clients. As a patient when you leave the consult, you know you have received the best care possible.
