25.01.2022 Thank you everyone for your wonderful support, caring and sharing during this difficult year. May 2021 see an end to the virus and the beginning of a more peaceful and prosperous time for all..

23.01.2022 What am I up to today? Under glazing ceramic pieces for The Red Stage of course

23.01.2022 September has been a busy month for me, creating new ceramic pieces to put into my mosaics as well as getting some new pieces put together for the Gallery Wall. I've decided not to post up the new pieces straight away, but to put up an album each month with the new pieces that I've completed for that month. This will hopefully result in the Gallery Walls remaining filled for more that a couple of hours ha ha ha ha ha .. I really want to thank all those people who have visited and supported my artistic pursuits. If you click on each pic, you will find it's story.

22.01.2022 Sometimes the workshop gets downright messy ha ha ha

17.01.2022 The Art my Word exhibition was a Godsend for me after the limitations of 2020. It re-introduced me to the book Chicken Soup for the Soul by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen. My Mum always said that any problem could be made right with a good cup of tea and a good book. I’d like to add a bowl of Chicken Soup to that statement. There is something very nourishing when we allow ourselves the time to relax, educate, inspire indeed to feed the body and the soul with good food and positive thoughts. I hope my little Chicken Soup Bowl brings joy and comfort to whomever sups from its well. .. Kara-Mia So incredibly chuffed to receive an "honourable mention" for my very FIRST exhibited ceramic.

16.01.2022 We are all Open

16.01.2022 I've been pretty quiet on this page for a few weeks as I've been concentrating on creating some ceramics. They are in the kiln now and due to come out on Saturday. Looking forward to getting back to Mosaicking next week.. Stay tuned :)

15.01.2022 I was so very excited to finish this mosaic and loved all the hand built pieces that went into creating it. City Jazz only lasted 1 day on the gallery wall bef...ore it headed off with it's new owner to snazz up her bathroom wall together with the Musical KItty.. So glad it has gone to such a lovely home See more

12.01.2022 # 255 - BEACH WALKER SOLD: $230.00 Signature Piece: Wall Art: Dimensions: 30cm x 30cm Date Commenced: 13/07/20... Date Completed: 31/07/20 Wall plaque: Cracked tile, Glass Pebbles, and Hand Built Ceramic Pieces, Shells, Stone Tiles, suitable for outdoors. Inspiration: Do you love to walk along the beach? I do. My heart is always by the seaside. There is something so peaceful in walking alone with the sand between your toes and the water caressing your feet and ankles. The gentle kiss of the breeze against your skin and the sun sparkling on the water is panacea for a troubled spirit. When you allow yourself time out in nature, the mind relaxes and your spirits soar. Your creativity builds and suddenly everything seems clear. The sea offers up it’s amazing bounty of shells and sea creatures for you to ponder. A sea-bird’s feather, A jelly fish, Tiny crabs scuttle by. It’s a reminder of how beautiful life really is. 10.01.2022 I’ve been away, camping on Straddie with some friends. We all had a beaut holiday. Now it’s time to get cracking with my ceramics and mosaics. Looking forward to going to MIAC tomorrow for a Bisque Firing of some pieces I’ve created for special friend..

10.01.2022 During October, I went camping with friends over on Straddie for 8 days. There was plenty of preparation, planning, packing, unpacking, washing and cleaning to be done LOL.. I didn't get many mosaics created but I did create lots of lovely ceramic pieces to go into mosaics so I'll be busy during the month of November. Here are some pics of works in progress.

01.01.2022 Only one more sleep until our Studio Outing for BIANOM .. Everything is ready. Meg has repainted the old wardrobe that Margaret Smeaton and Gary Tomkinson sold to me. She has re-fitted the shelving which was missing and now it holds all my mand made ceramic treasures and art and pottery supplies. What a great addition to Kara-Mia's Mosaics Gallery.. I'm very happy with the results. Thank you Meg, Margaret and Gary.. The wardrobe has been put to good use and now has a new lease on life.

01.01.2022 It's been a while since I've updated my fb profile pics for Kara-Mia's Mosaics .. so this afternoon I've had a little play around with some new pics.. :)
