23.01.2022 Crews are currently on scene and investigating a fire on Coramba road Karangi. We believe fire is burning in burnt country and isn’t a threat to anything



23.01.2022 #Advice Crews are today conducting patrols on two re-ignitions that occurred in hot and windy weather yesterday at Coramba Rd, Karangi and Orara Way, Nana Glen ...- smoke is still visible from Coramba Rd (attached pic). Crews are also on scene at the Andersons Creek fire, strengthening containment lines in the Darkwood/Bishops Creek area. Smoke drift from fires in the south of the state is effecting the whole of the Mid North Coast under the influence of southerly winds. A statewide Total Fire Ban remains in force until midnight tonight.

06.01.2022 At 9pm last night ( 11.1.2020) Karangi brigade were paged to a tree alight on a property on Mt Brown Road Karangi. On arrival we found a large tree smouldering in previous burnt country. The land owner had a hose and extinguish most of it hotspots before our arrival. We conducted a patrol on the tree this morning (12.1.2020) and everything looked good.

It would be reasonable to expect that the Edward Sharpe bridge will go under shortly. ...There is 10cm of water over the Morrow’s Road bridge. Please be careful on the roads. 02.01.2022 STATEWIDE TOTAL FIRE BAN From midnight tonight a Statewide Total Fire Ban will be in place for Friday, 3rd January. During a Total Fire Ban you cannot light, maintain or use a fire in the open, or to carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire.... General purpose hot works (such as welding, grinding or gas cutting or any activity that produces a spark or flame) are not to be done in the open.

02.01.2022 At 17:45pm this afternoon (10.1.2020) Karangi Brigade received a call to power lines down on a property along Coramba road on arrival we found a small grass fire that was started by the lines arching after a tree branch fell on the lines. thankfully crews from Essential Energy were on scene and extinguish most of the flames before we arrived. Area has been made safe by us and Energy crews and power has been resorted to areas affected.

01.01.2022 There will be a statewide Total Fire Ban in place tomorrow. Although the fire danger will be less than today, we are still expecting moderate winds from the south to southeast to impact on the more than 150 fires burning across the state.
