23.01.2022 Suggestion for the next rehearsal

22.01.2022 Latest regulations: Transmission risk for singers and wind instrument musicians Singing or playing wind instruments can involve forceful exhalation and may involve aerosolisation of fluids from the mouth and nose, which could increase the risk of coronavirus (COVID-19) transmission.... The most important preventive measure is for singers and musicians to not attend rehearsals or performances if they are unwell. When rehearsals and performances are conducted, performers should maintain a 1.5 metres distance from each other, hand hygiene practices should be strictly followed, and the of sharing microphones or of instruments should be avoided, even between asymptomatic individuals. Rehearsal and performance areas should also be cleaned with increased frequency. Venue density quotients and gathering size limits also apply. See more

20.01.2022 For those who missed rehearsal today, here is the new choir song

20.01.2022 Apologies for the late notice, but the Karaoke Choir will not be operating for the foreseeable future due to the Coronavirus. I will post when we resume. Keep safe.

19.01.2022 First experiments on going online. Got rid of most of the kinks now. https://youtu.be/qq_-SKLeiCE

19.01.2022 UPDATE ON 5 APRIL: if you like this video, and feel able, please contribute to the charity that we are donating all our revenue to, which is the World Health Or...ganization COVID-19 Solidarity Fund: https://www.facebook.com/donate/1564752357011737/. Facebook will match what you give. You can find a few more family antics at: https://www.youtube.com/c/MarshFamilySongs ORIGINAL MESSAGE ON 29 MARCH: This is the last one we are going to do on a lockdown theme, but it felt very apt. And it might be just in time to cheer up some friends and family who have had - or are about to have - birthdays, all by themselves. Decided to include a bit of the intro so that you can see what kind of madness Danielle Marsh and I would be dealing with, if we didn't occupy them with music making...Hope everyone out there is doing okay.

18.01.2022 Heres something weve put together in lockdown. Were so grateful to the NHS, all doctors, nurses, health care workers and other amazing key workers. The advic...e is clear: stay at home, protect the NHS, save lives. Hope this brightens your day. #ShineStayInside @TakeThat #ThankYouNHS #ThankYouKeyWorkers #CoronavirusLockdownUK #StaySafeStayHome See more

17.01.2022 Hi, I hope everyone caught Michael's story on the Channel 9 news tonight. For those who don't know, Michael has cerebral palsy and only escaped a fire which destroyed his house because a neighbour went into the flames to rescue him. The house is a write-off and they have a gofundme page at https://www.gofundme.com/f/Michaels-home-and-equipment-fund

16.01.2022 The only thing that Michael and his family desperately need right now is somewhere to rent that is set up to accommodate Michael. They are currently staying at Quest Apartments, and this is very expensive - does have suitable disabled facilities. They would love to rent a home that has been modified for elderly/disabled, and need this spread afar. It is proving very difficult to find somewhere suitable.

16.01.2022 This really needs sound on

15.01.2022 Great session today with five new members, making a total of 15, and another five have expressed interest.

15.01.2022 Meeting at 1 pm again today!

01.01.2022 When I was growing up it was not uncommon for people to gather around the piano to have a sing. The Karaoke Choir of Diamond Creek is doing something similar. We gather online twice a week and just have a sing! The words appear on the screen and the music comes through their speakers and they feel the joy of singing without anyone listening! This week we had a woman from Ohio join us! So if youre choir is not online and you're going stir crazy, you might like to join us. It is $5 per session and you can book at https://www.trybooking.com/BJJYN Cheers

01.01.2022 Hi, Just a reminder that we have our next online choir practice Monday at 1. Send me your email if you'd like to join but haven't indicated that up till now. Cheers
