10.01.2022 Just remember everyone, the next TMAC seminar is less than 2 weeks away at the Launceston PCYC. We will be co-hosting the event, along with our great friend from TFK Ju Jitsu, Shihan Lionel Daley. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet and train with a range of wonderful people from the martial arts community and our brave first responders. ... $10 per Tae'Kyon student. :)

08.01.2022 All classes are suspended for now as per Government instructions. It’s a sad time, especially for those who are just starting out with us and have found so much interest in our martial art. But never fear we will be back better than ever. I’m sure everyone will continue to maintain fitness, work on those stretches and practise your kata!! .....right?! ... For any current students who have questions or need direction in regards to maintaining correct kata, whether it is our pawns or exercise kata, or our Wednesday night Grunt Night routine, send a message through to this page and we should be able to help guide you in the correct direction. We are limited to what we can share electronically, but written guidance should help you out.

06.01.2022 Grunt night done right!

06.01.2022 We will be closed from midday. Please, everyone be patient and avoid calling as our admin staff are waiting on direction and the forward plans. We are meeting to discuss our plans this morning and will process refunds as appropriate and when able in a timely fashion.

05.01.2022 Training tonight see you there!

03.01.2022 This post is intended to outline PCYCs current position and action regarding the Covid19 situation. I can advise that we are aligning ourselves with State Gove...rnment Policy and Federal Government Requirements. You will have noticed that hand sanitiser and signs regarding hand washing throughout the building. Please wash your hands before and after any class or activity. Please also use the hand sanitiser regularly. With regards to specific activities I can advise that; All Classes for school aged children - PCYC will follow the approach of the Tasmanian Department of Education, in regards to the continuation of these classes. At this stage, these classes will continue, however we are monitoring the position of the Government closely and will advise of any changes. Weights Gym and adult classes will remain open at this stage. Should ‘Public Spaces’ be closed, the gym and other classes will be closed. I will advise should this occur. Private bookings and birthday parties will be taken, however his may change depending on the position of the State Government. School Holiday Programme will continue at this stage. All classes have now been capped at 10 participants to reduce the risk of transmission. These programmes will provide your children a great distraction should schools close and with the small class size, should provide a safe space to engage with an activity with social distancing in mind. This may change depending on the position of the State Government. Quiz Night will be postponed until further notice. You can request a refund for tickets, however we would love you to hold on to them for the new date. We still need to raise money and we still need a new Gymnastics floor. Some vouchers with finite expiry dates will be auctioned on Facebook. Please keep an eye out and support us if you can. Further to the above; Please ensure you or your child have washed your hands thoroughly before attending PCYC with soap and water. Antiseptic wipes are installed through the building. Please do not wipe down equipment with your sports towels. Please use antiseptic wipes provided before and after use. This is particularly important in the weights gym. Physical contact will be minimized in classes and we ask that you take personal measures to assist us with this. If you or your child is presenting with any cold or flu like symptoms we do ask that you please keep them home. If you have recently returned to Tasmania from interstate or overseas, we ask that you do not attend PCYC and self-isolate as per Government requirements. You are all very important to us and we need your support to be able to make it through this uncertain time. We are doing everything necessary to keep our PCYC families, and each other, safe and healthy. When we come out the other side, it'll be more important than ever for PCYC to be a place of meaningful connection for young people and the community and we hope you will continue to support us. If you have any concerns please don't hesitate to discuss with me. Kind Regards Bec Reedman Club Manager

03.01.2022 The Board and Management are currently planning how LPCYC will reopen in line with guidelines and restrictions. You can be assured that social distancing measu...res will be in place for all activities and your health and safety is our primary concern. Members will be contacted in due course, once these plans are finalised. Thank you for your support during this difficult time and we look forward to seeing you soon. See more
