25.01.2022 An interesting bit of history. Obviously Shotokan e.g. hikite low compared to Goju, but still very good to watch to see how a lot of the training methods have not changed through the years. It also has good explanation of terminology. https://youtu.be/yJvhMxzAJ2w

25.01.2022 With restrictions in NSW having eased because of how well NSW social distancing has worked, we confirm that we are back training in the dojo. We have prepared ourselves, to ensure the safety of all our members, including having instructors undertake COVID-safe training, and putting in place COVID-safe procedures following the guidelines set out by Australia's Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA).

23.01.2022 After more than 3 months of delivering 4 zoom classes per week, and about 4 weeks of Sunday open-air training sessions in the park, it is great to be back training face to face, with COVID-safe measures in place! And the students are having a great time, learning self-confidence, self-defence, self-discipline in a fun environment. We are going to keep numbers low (which helps with social distancing), but we still have some vacancies in both our kids/teens classes and older teens/adults classes. Get in touch to arrange to come along for an obligation-free trial.

19.01.2022 Karate takes a lifetime to master, but we also focus on rapdily giving our new students appropriate self-defence tools and self-confidence. Training in 2020 starts next week: First class back Thu 9 Jan. Come along to an obligation-free free trial class. You will have fun, get an intense fitness workout, and learn self-defence in a friendly and supportive environment. We have classes for kids and adults, teaching traditional Karate with a focus on self-defence. To say thank you to our heroes, members of the NSW RFS & Fire + Rescue Service (and their families) train for free during the bushfire season.

13.01.2022 With restrictions in NSW looking like they will be starting to ease soon, we are preparing ourselves, to ensure the safety of all our members. This includes following the guidelines set out by Australia's Martial Arts Industry Association (MAIA). In the meantime, we are continuing to hold online zoom classes, as well as outdoor (limited-numbers) training.

12.01.2022 A few of my students put this short video together as part of a school-holidays fun activity & training session. I'm so proud of them! Well done, Max, Jacob, Raphael and Seth!

09.01.2022 Congratulations to all students who passed their grading! You all did an excellent job and made me very proud of you! (A few more results still to hand out on Thursday, to those who could not make training tonight.)

09.01.2022 Very proud of my students Andrew, Jacob, Max and Seth, who graded last week. You all did fantastically, and it is an honour to teach you! Many thanks to Shihan Glenn Stephenson for coming all the way out to St Ives for the grading.
