16.01.2022 On Sunday our Clubhouse kids learnt that God made us to help others. We learnt that we can help others by cleaning up after dinner; by giving someone a hug; or by drawing pictures. So when we were made aware of the below opportunity, we thought it was too good not to share... Good afternoon,... On behalf of the City of Greater Geelong School Crossings program, we are reaching out for your help to provide support to our school crossings supervisors. It has been a tough year for all and our school crossings staff have felt an absence of the school community during this pandemic. We are hoping that students could write a letter or draw a picture to their local school crossings supervisors in hopes of raising their spirits. We know the school holidays are fast approaching, thus we would like to receive the letters and drawings by the end of term, so we can give them to our school crossings supervisors for these upcoming holidays. All letters and drawings will need to be sent via email to: [email protected] by Wednesday 16th September. This will ensure us enough time to email them on to our staff. If you have any questions or feedback please don't hesitate to contact me. We look forward to your help in supporting our school crossing supervisors. 13.01.2022 Deb has been a long term and much loved Kardinia Kids leader. Her willingness to support the ministry wherever needed saw her leading kids from Prep to Grade 6 in all manner of things, from object lessons, games and to small group time. Her sports and coaching background meant her games were always a winner with the kids Her most notable and popular role was making balloon animals at our regular Kardinia special events From the start of these events right to the very end, De...b would be surrounded by a horde of excited kids, waiting for their special balloon creation to take shape As she twisted and tied balloons, Deb could be seen chatting away with the Kids, thoroughly enjoying the conversations and unique insights of each child. And well after the events were over, Deb was only too happy to make just one more balloon animal, for the kid that had missed out Deb always approached her Kids leader role with a great sense of fun. Combining her love for God and value for each child, Deb has been an incredibly popular member of the Kids team. Thank you for your valuable contribution to Kardinia Kids Deb!
