24.01.2022 ANZAC day is a day for all Australians to come together in remembrance for all our veterans and service members. We have created window displays with the artworks from the children here at Kare 4 Kidz and Cherry Tree Sylvania at a cafe in Helensburgh. We have also placed rosemary on our front fence and in our kindy window display honouring all ANZACS and service personnel. ... Rosemary is traditionally worn on Anzac Day and has significance for Australian's as it is found growing wild on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Rosemary is associated with remembrance, happy memories, fidelity, constancy, deep friendship and love. Rosemary is pinned on jackets on Remembrance Day and ANZAC Day as a sign of remembrance of those that made the ultimate sacrifice. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.

23.01.2022 "Children's water bottle Manufacturer, Contigo, have made an urgent recall to parents around the globe, following the discovery that some products may contain a choking hazard. In a statement, the company said: Contigo identified that the water bottle’s clear silicone spout in some cases may detach from the lid posing a potential choking hazard. No injuries have been reported. But, out of an abundance of caution, we encourage consumers to find out if they have an affected water bottle lid and order a free replacement product. This recall only involves Contigo Kids Cleanable Water Bottle sold from April 2018 through February 7, 2020. The water bottles come in three sizes (13-ounce, 14-ounce and 20-ounce) and multiple colors, materials and graphics. The bottles were sold individually as well as in two-packs and three-packs."

23.01.2022 We had a lovely afternoon tea yesterday with our wonderful Grandparents. The children enjoyed decorating cupcakes, completing art experiences and pampering our Grandparents at relaxation station.

17.01.2022 Kare 4 Kidz joined the Australian Rainbow Trail to spread joy amongst the children and families in our community. We worked together to create our rainbow canvas that is now displayed in our front window.

15.01.2022 Dentist Visit On the 4th of March, we had a visit from some dentists at Shire Dental Miranda to discuss the importance of brushing our teeth and having regular check ups at the dentist. The dentist engaged in a group discussion about whether they have been to the dentist before, how often to brush your teeth and the best time of day to do so, morning and night. Aliyah was then chosen to help brush Billy the dragons teeth using a giant tooth brush. The next activity encour...aged the children to identify healthy and unhealthy food. The dentist held up different foods and the children decided which category the foods should go under. The dentist ended their visit by allowing the children to ask any questions they had about the dentist and their teeth. After this was finished we were then given some goodie bags filled with some treats for us to take home and use. Thank you so much for the visit, we loved learning all about dental health!

13.01.2022 Changes to the Minister’s Rules on the Child Care Subsidy (known as the Child Care Subsidy Amendment (Coronavirus Economic Response Package) Minister’s Rules 20...20) have been published. The key points are: - A child will be allowed an extra 20 allowable absences for 2019-20, bringing the total up to 62 days, commencing around 19 April. - Parents will not require a medical certificate to claim additional absences (on top of the 62 days), taking effect in the next few days. 12.01.2022 Congratulations to our Graduating class of 2019! Last night we celebrated our Preschool graduation for our children who are going to big school in 2020. We wish you all the best on your next chapter and we hope you come back and visit us in your new school uniform.

10.01.2022 Over the last 4 weeks, we have had the Monarch Lifecycle Program. We received the eggs which quickly grew into caterpillars. The children were then fascinated by how much the caterpillars ate before they turned into cocoons. This morning on arrival to Kindy, we found that we now have butterflies. The children have loved watching and learning about each stage of the lifecycle. We can’t wait for the children to see the butterflies today!
