Although I’m disappointed, I am proud of Australia for drawing a line. Now is the time to stay safe and stay healthy. I’m feeling for everyone at the moment. 16.01.2022 Everything is a bit crazy at the moment. There are people loosing jobs and struggling financially, people are missing out on competing in and watching their favourite sporting events, we are emptying out shops, and for some reason we have decided that we need ridiculous amounts of toilet paper. Things are changing every day and it’s hard to know what is going to happen tomorrow, let alone in a few months time. Let’s all take a deep breath and stay positive! We can adapt to ...the new norms. Let’s make the most of what we have. For me, I’m making the most out of my training every day. Some of my events have been cancelled. I’m not dwelling on it, but rather taking this opportunity to get in a long, hard block of work. I doing weekly shops so I don’t have to be at the supermarket too often, buying enough, but not excessive amounts as everyone needs food. I am also checking in on family and friends in this vulnerable time. As a community we have gotten through soo much. We can get through this too! Let’s be smart, but not silly! 07.01.2022 Walking out of the last session of the year....... 2020 is all about perspective, you can take away from it, the positives or you can dwell on the negatives. From me, I learnt a lot about myself this year and I found new strengths I didn’t know I had. I will never again take seeing family or hugging friends for granted. The resilience that every person around me showed was beyond incredible, I’m so lucky to be surrounded by such strong people and I am so proud to be Australian. We have no idea what 2021 will hold but..... BRING IT ON!!!
