05.01.2022 Absolutely thrilled that When Billy Was a Dog has been awarded Honour Book in this year’s CBCA Book of the Year Awards for Early Childhood. Congratulations to co-honourees Margaret Wild and Ann James, and the marvellous Kirsty Murray who brought this tale of the extreme longing of a boy for a dog to life. Also to our lovely publisher Allen and Unwin. Woof!
02.01.2022 Thank you to the Marvellous Librarians who made Book Week 2020 come to life in WA spanning across the past 3 months. I have had such a wonderful time with hundreds of primary school children, teachers, parents and assistants. Here are a few of the brilliant charcoal dogs the kids drew at the end of the sessions at Queen of Apostles School, Kwinana and Melville Libraries in the past week. It’s been a great privilege to spend time with these children and @kirstydmurray When Billy Was a Dog has been well and truly celebrated!
