Ill be sending these paintings I donated off to their new homes with their successful bidders this week! Was great fun to be part of this online art Auction fundraiser. 11.01.2022 NOW IS THE TIME.....These lessons are a great opportunity to learn Drawing and Painting online in small groups from a very experienced artist, Professinal Tutor and good friend and artistic Mentor of mine, Robin Wilson. You will be using Zoom to connect up to the classes. The Zoom usage is free for participants and ideally should be used on a laptop, notepad or PC but a phone can be used also - its just that your picture isnt as big. Anyone in Australia can join up. Lessons are starting next week ! Im excited !
11.01.2022 Todays Portrait session at Redland Yurara Art Gallery - my gorgeous 90yrs young Uncle Bryan Lucas - (shark model maker extraordinaire as featured on page 20 of last weeks Redland City times) was the sitter. Such a lovely man and a great face to draw and paint - my effort doesnt do this mischief maker justice. We ask our sitters not to smile for the hour sitting because it is hard to hold that pose but I reckon Uncle Bryan could do it. Hopefully he will sit for our group again next year so I can have another try at capturing his likeness. Robin is a wonderful art teacher and mentor and I am so glad that I have been able to help organise these classes with him. Its taken quite a bit of organising but its well worth it to be able to offer these wonderful classes to anyone in Australia. Great for everyones mental health to learn a new skill while you are in isolation and get to socialise with other like minded people. ...
