19.01.2022 I’ve been playing with my Gelli plate again! ( my new favourite toy!) and created this Queen
17.01.2022 Hi everyone, I hope you are good on this stormy night?! theres a bit of lightening activity happening here in Brisbane. Anyhow I have created a lesson over on the Art and soul blog using a Gelli print. Learn how to create these little house's by following this link: http://artandsoulmixedmediablog.blogspot.com.au/
14.01.2022 Here’s my latest. I like to try different art techniques and this is a combination of collage and paint. This took a little longer than my usual paintings maybe because I was being more intentional about it. I used the colour wheel for my colours (which I never normally do).
13.01.2022 So here is my latest. I normally use bright colours but I wanted a change and was inspired by the latest collage papers I purchased, to do a more vintage look. I love vintage so I'm equally comfortable working with more earthy colours. The collage papers are 7 Dots -dreamscape. Title: You know your hearts desire
11.01.2022 I'm up on the art and soul blog with another lesson. If you'd like to see how I did this picture ( which is inspired by the soulful project quote) head on over to the art and soul blog: http://artandsoulmixedmediablog.blogspot.com.au/
09.01.2022 I’ve been playing again but I can’t take full credit as it was inspired by Olga S Furman’s collage course. Loved it!
09.01.2022 If you are wanting some journal page inspiration I have a technique post over on the art and soul studio blog: http://artandsoulmixedmediablog.blogspot.com.au/ This could be used as a background, ATC or card and I decided to give it a holiday feeling. Hope you enjoy the lesson.
09.01.2022 I'm thrilled and excited to be featured in this months Mixed Up magazine. For any of you Creative and crafty people who are looking for some inspiration you can buy the magazine here: https://pocketmags.com/mixed-up-mag/
07.01.2022 So it’s nearly the end of the year and I feel my style has changed so many times since the beginning of the year. I think my style is starting to emerge after I’ve given myself permission to just play. So many amazing opportunities have come about through that for which I’m truly grateful. Here’s to more playing! But I’m also looking into growing my creative community and I’m looking forward to what 2018 May bring. I’m so grateful to you all who have supported me on this journey so far xxx
05.01.2022 After the craziness of Christmas I've managed to sit down and get creative. Being the introvert I am I need to decompress especially around the time when I've been more social than usual. Being creative helps me to recharge and in the past couple of years I understand it has been a real healing tool and in most parts a lifesaver. Most of the time I like to be intuitive with my painting and see where it leads me and quite often I find the paintings where I let it flow are the... ones I like the best. This painting started off in my journal where most of my favourite images live. This painting is also available in my Etsy shop: https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/KarenArribas
03.01.2022 I did this course last year and it helped me in so many ways. Art is so healing and this course isn't just an art course but a holistic and healing journey. Life book is a year long course with weekly tutorials, if you think this could benefit you or someone close to you art and Soul studio are giving away a free spot (see details below).
