24.01.2022 If you have a student in Year 10-12 then the end of the school year is fast approaching and with that comes the stress and pressure of end of year exams. For many the stress of performing in exams can get too much. ... Now the thing is when you’re under pressure or stress your fight and flight responses become activated. This means adrenaline is released and your physical body is set for survival. This signals to your body that energy and blood flow are needed in the muscles to respond to danger so you can get the heck out of there. This energy and blood flow is redirected from the frontal cortex, after all it’s not beneficial to think about your survival, it’s time to act. When this happens many people become overwhelmed, foggy headed and decision making becomes challenging. This is not what you need when cognitive function and memory recall are needed to perform in exams. In fact it makes remembering information that much more difficult. So what causes stress, well here’s some patterns we’ve helped students with lately: The fear of failure Making mistakes Getting it wrong Not being good enough Making decisions Looking stupid Living up to other people's expectations All of these patterns affected the neuro processing of information (memory access and recall), emotional regulation, adrenals (stress hormone release), energy production and muscle tone and the state of students overall mental and emotional well-being. What does that all mean? When the stress pattern was released students could work smarter not harder. 24.01.2022 What exactly do you do Karen? is a question I get asked all the time around the work I do. When asked my response is ‘a Kinesiologist’ as it’s a box that people recognize however what I do goes way beyond that. What I actually do is through my healing, energy and empathic skills I connect with your energetic blueprint and working with your energy uncover areas that are blocking your energetic flow.... I then identify what created the blockages and restore balance, harmony and flow to your body and your life. If you can image, your body like the electrical wiring in your home. Each home has energy continually flowing through the main power lines into the home then into each room. You can turn on or off the energy using switches. Sometimes there is an influx of energy into a room, sometimes the influx is at the mains, sometimes there is a power overload and sometimes there is a short circuit. Each imbalance in energy needs to be cleared to re-establish and re-connect energetic flow to maintain optimal power. Your body’s energetic system works the same way only if blocks in your energy flow are left untreated it can lead to dis-ease and disharmony, mentally, emotionally, physically, energetically and within your life. Blocks to your energy can leave you feeling tired, exhausted, fatigued, stuck, stressed, overwhelmed and anxious. It can feel like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders or like you’re pushing sh#t up a hill. When balance and flow are restored your energy feels calmer, more relaxed, connected and grounded from within. Clients say it feels like a weight has been lifted. Feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, stress, panic, fear and anger dissolve and fade away leaving only peace, calm, balance, ease and flow. Energy blocks and imbalances aren’t just relegated to physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. They can also show up in situations, circumstances, relationships, around your career, your finances and life in general. When life or situations feel stuck, like it’s become hard work, overwhelming, yucky or you just can’t get the results you want or desire even though you’re putting in the work chances are there is an energetic block standing in your way. Without clearing and restoring balance and flow this block can stay in place for a very long time if not permanently. 24.01.2022 Are you living in alignment with who YOU are or are you blaming everything and everyone else for what is happening in YOUR life? Maybe something didn’t go to plan in your day and you blamed your husband or the kids? Maybe you were angry at the person that just pulled their car out in front of you and you yelled and screamed at them? Maybe you were running late and yelled at the kids because they weren’t ready on time? Maybe you feel unhappy with your life, marriage or relatio...nships and take it out on other people around you? Maybe you hate your boss or work colleagues and blame them for not liking your job or situations in the workplace?? Whatever it might be... these situations are NOT about anyone else or what THEY are doing to you. They’re all about YOU not being in alignment with you! When you’re in alignment everything flows. Being in alignment means not listening to the negative head talk or the stories you’re telling yourself about a situation. It’s about not getting caught up in the drama of your emotions and taking it out on others. You know what’s important to you, how you want to be treated and how you want others to treat you. When you’re in alignment with you, you know when something has pushed your buttons and you observe it instead of reacting to it. Being in alignment means YOU are the master of your own ship and take ownership of how YOU feel, react and what happens in your life and you’re not influenced by the actions and reactions of others. Only YOU have the power over your choices, decisions, actions, reactions. Every time you blame, deny or allow the actions, words or behaviours of others to influence you, you give your power away and are no longer in alignment with YOU! 23.01.2022 Remember to Breathe.... Too many adults and children shallow breathe or hold there breath which is a classic symptom I see with many who experience anxiety. Today's is a reminder to just B.R.E.A.T.H.E.!... So take a deep breath in allowing the breath to pushing out your diaphragm and exhale out through the mouth. Continue this for a couple of minutes and reassess how you're feeling. 23.01.2022 Sick of being stuck in negative head chatter, fed up with the emotional highs and lows and feeling unfulfilled and out of balance. 22.01.2022 Overlooking the Importance of Breathing To experience amazing health and vibrant energy you need to rest and rest well. Without rest the body will not recharge and repair. The most important thing you can do for yourself is to make time to rest and replenish your energy. One way you can assist the process of relaxation is with deep breathing. Deep breathing is the only way you can consciously affect the autonomic nervous system. As we breathe 5,000 to 30,000 times a day it ...has the potential to influence you positively or negatively, in so many ways. Constant feelings of worry, anxiety, overthinking or panic impact your breathing patterns. By bringing awareness and focus to your breath you can influence and down regulate these symptoms and return your breathing to a calmer pattern. Deep diaphragmatic breathing is practiced by making sure your tummy moves in and out with each breath as opposed to moving the upper chest or lung area. There is no better practice to restore your energy and vitality than regularly checking in with yourself and deep breathing. Begin by slowly breathing in for a count of 2, making sure your tummy moves out as you breathe Then exhale slowly for a count of 2, making sure your tummy relaxes and moves in. Do this for a count of 10 breaths. (Some people may find it difficult to get their tummy to engage, it may take some time and practice to reconnect your diaphragm especially if you’ve been used to shallow breathing) When you can comfortably breathe diaphragmatically, then begin slowly breathing deeper for a longer count until you feel your rib cage slowly expanding outwards Then slowly exhale for relaxing the tummy area Check in with yourself regularly during the day to check your breathing. This exercise can be done anywhere, at anytime! The state and level of your energy and vitality impacts every aspect and layer of your life. 22.01.2022 For many women packing everything into a day has become the norm. The endless to-do lists, rushing to work or making sure children have been fed, clothed and dropped at school. Countless loads of laundry, endless emails, clothes to iron, various work commitments, endless interruptions from the mobile, rush hour traffic. Being always on the go, mentally, emotionally or physically means your body is constantly making adrenalin. Adrenalin revs up the body so it can get going but... even adrenalin needs some down time and the body’s way of alerting you that we need to slow down is through fatigue and eventually illness. Many people push through fatigue and turn to stimulating substances to provide them with a quick burst of energy so they can get through the day. This could be the caffeine pick me up, the sugar fix or an energy drink. None of these actually help calm the body down. In fact, many of these keep the adrenal glands actively working harder and cause further dehydration to the body and organs. Reducing activities and substances that over tax the adrenal glands is important, along with listening to the signs your body is giving you when it needs to rest is vital to your vibrant energy. 21.01.2022 Today's little reminder ..... BE TRUE TO YOURSELF How many of us follow the advise, direction, knowledge and expectations of others over listening to and following YOUR own inner counsel? ... Maybe you have been tempted to seek the approval of others, instead of pursuing what you really feel and want to do? I know I have been guilty of this... Self-doubt, indecisiveness, judgement, fear of making mistakes or getting it wrong, believing others were more experienced than me and had all the answers led me to believe others new better than me. I placed importance on what other people thought over following my own inner knowing. What I realised was, this wasn't getting my anywhere. Who was running my life, certainly not me. I had abandoned myself and my knowing and handed control over to other people. We all make this mistake at some stage, mainly because we haven't been taught that WE know what's best for us. We have ALL the anwers we need, no one else. After all how many of us have been conditioned to trust parents, educators and other people over ourselves. But they aren't living OUR lives, they aren't living OUR truths. Being true to yourself is about following your intuition and knowing despite what others may think. Being true to yourself is calling on the strength to rise to be YOU no matter what. Being true to yourself is taking ownership and direction over your choices. The strange this is, we KNOW all this but often it's easier to follow other people's advice so we have someone to blame when it doesn't work out. So today ask yourself, Where in my life can I be true to myself? What possibilities could I create if I were to be true to myself? What fun could I have if I was to be true to myself? 20.01.2022 Is stress making you sick? A little stress can be good for you, giving you a kick start to motivation. A lot of stress continuously can seriously impact your health and well-being. ... I am no stranger to stress and anxiety. After experiencing numerous physical stress and anxiety symptoms with no solution within the medical system other than anti-depressants (which didn't abate my physical symptoms) I sought alternative solutions. It's what got me hooked on Kinesiology (8+ years ago) and an extreme interest in how the mind body connection impacts our physical health. For me experiencing physical stress symptoms is what it took to create change and start re-evaluating my life and how I was contributing to stress. Many years on and I am grateful for what it taught me. Without it I wouldn't be where I am now, helping others reduce stress (physically, emotionally, mentally and energetically) and restoring balance in their lives. Sick of stress running your life? 18.01.2022 I love my flashback posts. Still so relevant. You’re only ever a choice away from your own happiness. If a choice doesn’t feel right or sit well with you then make another choice, one that feels right or is positive for you. The challenge for many is making a choice that is alignment with themselves that others do not like. ... Someone else’s response or reaction to your choices should not be reason alone to negotiate your happiness. That my friends becomes people pleasing.



18.01.2022 IT'S TIME TO RECHARGE AND PUT INTO PRACTICE WHAT I PREACH If you're a client of mine I've probably mentioned to you a couple or 10-20 times to take some time out and rest, relax and recharge. ... After all, it's what your body, mind and soul requires to hear it's messages especially over the white noise of life that we surround ourselves with constantly. As an empath and energy healer keeping my energy clear, balanced and aligned allows me to weave my magic, decipher your body's messages and restore balance and harmony to your body, your mind, your energy and your life. (Just ask a client who's had a session how calm, relaxed, focused, whole and balanced they feel after a session. Actually most can't describe how they feel after a session because they've never experienced that level of calm before. ) Now it's my time to recharge. 17.01.2022 Are you taking on other people’s energy? My biggest learning as an energy worker was understanding what was mine and what was someone else’s energy. As I look back over my childhood I realise I have always had the uncanny knack of sensing other people’s feelings, emotions and energy.... I was just never aware of it. Maybe if I understood this sooner it would have saved me many years of stress, anxiety and searching for answers. You know, the feeling you get when you walk into a room after someone’s just had a fight or argument and you can immediately sense the energy in the room. You might feel cold, like something just isn’t ‘right’. You might get a tingling sensation running over your body or chills up your back. You can cut the air in the room with a knife. It can feel pretty uncomfortable. My go-to thoughts and feelings when this would happen was Why am I feeling like this.. What’s wrong with me?. Sometimes I would even think I was going crazy! I would automatically take ownership of what I was feeling around me because THAT’S what I felt. It never occurred to me that what I was feeling wasn’t even mine! For many sensitive souls and empaths this can be quite normal and if you were anything like me no-one’s taught you how to navigate the world sensing energy. And you might not even understand that not all of what you feel and pick up energetically belongs to you! The question I now ask myself when I feel drained or my energy feels out of whack is Is this energy mine or someone else’s Whichever feels light is true for you. If it doesn’t belong to you, give the energy permission to exist just not in your energy field. Forgive the other person for sharing it with you. Most people aren’t even aware they’re sharing their energy around! Then declare that the energy leave your space and LET IT GO! Simple! Give it a try and see how much lighter you feel. If you’re unsure run the process anyway, you may not be as sensitive to energy yet. Still feeling out of whack or not quite yourself after doing this a couple of times, then book a session and let’s get your energy back into alignment and you feeling your true self again. Karen

16.01.2022 What I learnt from calling ‘time out’ ? Ever felt like crawling under a rock, shutting yourself off and calling ‘time out’ on the world? Well I did just that... Why! Because I had nothing left to give. My life was feeling like it was on autopilot and I had lost myself and my joy along the way. So, I called time out and here’s what I learnt: Shit happens and life throws you curve balls. It’s neither right or wrong. It just IS but it’s HOW you perceive, react and respond that affects you physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Me, I had to seriously take a look at what I was thinking, feeling and judging in my life. The only person you have control over is YOU and yes that also means you have control over your thoughts, feelings and judgements. The only time you have is the Present NOW. The 10 seconds you’re sitting in right now. Anything else is either in the past (which you can’t change) or in the future (which hasn’t happened yet). I had to check the stories I was telling myself and get present. A lot of what I was telling myself wasn’t serving me and making me feel like crap. Everything changes. Nothing is designed to stay the same. You either learn to let go and go with the flow or you resist. I was resisting A LOT! Resistance is like paddling upstream. It’s a hell of a lot of effort and it doesn’t get you very far. If you stop paddling and take a step back you can create space and clarity to look at what is and what isn’t working for you. Be still and hear the messages. Your inner guidance and intuition are talking to you all the time, but so many don’t listen to their inner knowing. And yes, even I fell into this trap. The stories in my head had become louder than my inner knowing. Sometimes you need to let situations, people, arguments go in order to set YOU free. Hanging onto baggage is time consuming and exhausting. How many of us hang on and rehash arguments as if they are still happening. I'm back. and I’m so grateful for what I learnt. I now have a greater awareness of what works for me and what doesn’t. I have let go of a whole lot of anger and resentments that I’d been carrying around and I feel so much lighter and at ease. Gifting myself space allowed me an opportunity to reconnect to myself and to what brings me Joy. It’s allowed me time to recharge and nourish myself so I can again bring the very best of me to the world and to the clients who need my unique skills and talents. Now, how does it get any better than this? Sometimes you need to call 'time out', take a step back, see what is or isn't working, make the adjustments to get you back onto the pathway of JOY! 15.01.2022 Just got back into the swing of business after a relaxing holiday and unfortunately we are now day 1 of a 5 day lockdown. That means no clients this week. If you were booked in for this week, I will have already been in contact to reschedule your appointments. Thank you to everyone for their patience and understanding.... I also want to remind our empaths and sensitive souls out there during this time to just BREATHE! Your energetic senses are working overtime right now picking up the vibes around you so give yourself space to walk on the grass, stop, BE and breathe. I know mine were yesterday when I found myself over energised, rushed and panicky after being at the shopping centre. Knowing my energy well I knew what I was experiencing wasn't me but my external energy awareness from those around me. One way to know if the energy is yours is ask : Is this mine? If you feel lighter when you ask, it's not yours. Let it go, simply state, 'energy return to sender with consciousness attached' You will soon feel your energy lighten. 15.01.2022 Ever had a great idea maybe a new business endeavour, personal or health goal, relationship or finance goal. You fill in the details, make a plan, you get inspired You write it all down, you talk about it ... You get super excited about it and take some exciting first steps ... Then NOTHING! You lose momentum, something new comes along, you move onto a new project, you take another course, you move on from a relationship and the pattern starts again ... rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. Before long you start to think ‘Why does this keep happening to me? ‘Why do I keep making the same mistakes?’ I know I’ve fallen into this pattern a time or two.. or three What if I told you that there is a simple solution . and it doesn’t require will power or hard work to break the cycle. The solution lies within your chakras What are chakras? Chakras are energy centres within your body that spin and draw in energy to keep the spiritual, mental, emotional and physical health of your body in balance. Your chakras follow an energy sequence or pattern and when there is an energetic block in one of your chakras it can impact your ability to manifest. (Chakra’s do more that this but that’s a post for another time!) When you understand where your energy is stuck and how to fix it you find your desired outcomes and goals come to fruition with far greater ease. Your energy naturally flows and you’ll love just how easy it is to achieve your dreams when you have your energy working with you and not against you!

14.01.2022 I love the wisdom and understanding clients receive from their sessions. The infinite being that you are KNOWS you don’t have control - over anyone or anything! The ego however tries to convince you that to survive - YOU have to be in control. ... When you trust yourself, others and life, energy flows and expands. When you try to control or manipulate people or situations energy contracts and resists. The more you try to control situations, people or events the more you contract and resist your infinite life source and energy. It’s at this point that I see many clients display issues of stress, anxiety or adrenal imbalance. Why? Because there is only so much resistance your body can endure before it starts getting fatigued, exhausted and depleted. Imagine this, you’re in a canoe on a lovely quiet flowing stream. You pull in the oars and let go of the paddles and you float nicely along with the flow of the stream. You’re not using any energy, force or control, you simply go with the flow with no expectations and life flows with ease. Now, imagine you’re in the canoe on the same lovely quiet flowing stream and a situation with a friend, spouse, kids, job or money arises and you want the outcome to be a certain way in a certain time frame so you set about trying to make it happen. You soon find the energy of trying to control events, situations and outcomes makes your canoe change direction facing upstream and before you know it you’re forced to paddle against the flow. The more you try to control events the harder you have to paddle. Before you know it you’re completely exhausted, haven’t gotten where you want to go and are likely to give up because you’re exhausted. Now IF at this stage you relinquish control and let go (of outcomes and expectations), you’ll soon turn around and back in flow and ease of life. BUT this is easier said than done for people, as a recent client found out. Although spiritually she knew she didn’t have control over what happens in life her ego (mind) believed that control was a big issue and she became stuck in a pattern of controlling future outcomes. She was holding on so tightly for control thereby impacting her energy, sleep and adrenal system. Your innate being KNOWS what is best for you however most of the time we’re driven by ego and the mind takes charge and call the shots. When this happens you start to experience internal conflict, this is when you can feel like you’re pushing shit up a hill, and not going anywhere. What would your life look like if you lived with ease and flow and let go of control!

12.01.2022 The amount of times I’ve heard women say to me they feel GUILTY for taking time to rest and relax is ridiculous. Usually these women have come to me because they’re experiencing exhaustion, fatigue, anxiety and unhappiness. They are far from rested and relaxed. ... Along with weaving my magic and restoring balance to their depleted body and energy systems I also work to empower women to give themselves PERMISSION to rest and relax. Many women put themselves at the end of a long list of priorities and end up neglecting the person that matters to them the most, themselves. 11.01.2022 Feed your mind positivity because if you don’t program your mind, others will. What negative programming are you already at the effect of in your life and what is it costing you? Your joy, your happiness, fun, freedom, money? ... You can’t see your own negative programming mainly because it’s unconscious (meaning you’re not aware of it). Do you ever tell yourself you’ve done a great job.... that you’re proud of yourself.... that you’re Awesome...... that you LOVE yourself WHY NOT!! So many women I come across are stuck in a cycle of negative self talk that it has become their norm. Have you ever received a compliment only to turn it around into something not that big a deal instead of just saying thank you! We women judge ourselves harshly. We tell ourselves I’m not good enough... I can’t do XYZ... I’m afraid to do XYZ... I’m a failure.. Why is it that we play down our capabilities instead of standing in our power, giving ourselves credit for having a go or acknowledgment for getting through the day the best way we can. As you go through your day today reflect on ways that you can give yourself MORE credit because you truly are so much more than you give yourself credit for! 08.01.2022 Hey, can I let you in on a little secret.... I DON'T FIX PEOPLE ....... Why, because for starters YOU'RE NOT BROKEN! ... It's interesting though how often clients have said to me, Karen "it feels like something's wrong with me, can you help me?" or "I just don't feel myself, can you fix me?" My response is, lovely I can't fix you - only YOU can fix you. What I CAN do is hold space as together we unravel the cracks. I can balance your energy and clear the blocks that's been keeping you stuck. I can uncover the sabotaging beliefs and thought patterns while releasing the suppressed emotions that's been feeling heavy and weighing you down. I can create space as you heal past challenges and traumas so you can release the emotional burdens. I can run your bars releasing the conditioning and limitation as you awaken to more choice, more possibility and more ease in life. You may have experienced some shit and created some barriers and that's OK, it's got you through life up till now however these same barriers and blocks may now no longer serving you and keeping you playing small. 07.01.2022 How many of us put on masks and pretend to be something or someone we're not? That used to be me Why, because I wanted to be the "good girl". ... I wanted people to like me. I wanted people to think highly of me. I wanted people to respect me. I wanted to do the RIGHT thing. After all other people's opinions mattered, right? No wonder I was feeling like shit and lacking joy in my life. I'd molded myself to fit into a box based on other people's opinions, expections, limitations and beliefs of how they wanted me to be. I was so far from the real me that I didn't even recognise myself. So what did I do. I decided to be ME. So I asked questions like: "Does this bring me joy?" "What else is possible?" "Does this feel light or heavy?" "What will this choice create?" If it felt light - I'd go for it and give it a go. If it felt heavy - I'd leave it. I stopped trying to fit into boxes. I stopped doing what was expected of me because others wanted me to. I stopped putting on the masks. I stopped living MY life around other peoples opinions. What started happening was I began to feel lighter, happier, freer. I had more energy, passion and joy. I was filling my cup. I stopped making myself right or wrong and started BEING me. 04.01.2022 Psst, hey, it’s been awhile and a whole lot has changed. You might be a recent client or have been following me for some time so I thought I would update you with where I am at now. As I am about to reopen my bookings to facilitate more clients to join the fold. I am a Professional Specialist Kinesiologist, Energy Coach & Hypnotherapist who specialises in restoring balance created by stress and the impact it has on your physical, emotional, mental and energetic wellbeing.... Energy healing happened to find me when I first began searching for alternative solutions to anxiety. It was through my Kinesiology practice where I first became aware of the connection between emotional, mental and energetic stress and the impact it has on the physical body. Since then, I have continued to learn additional methods to facilitate my clients to actualise inner peace and harmony through consciousness utilising various techniques. 02.01.2022 How many of us actually CHOOSE to treat our body with love? I mean consciously choose to nurture, acknowledge and appreciate the body we were born with, the temple we move around in each and every day. It's easy to neglect our bodies. When we live life in our heads we soon get so incased in our thoughts that the body we move around in becomes an after thought and we lose connection with our body.... The body is a sensory organ and picks up on all kinds of information and when we lose connection to our body we also lose awareness of information around us. When you're in communion with your body and you're willing to ask your body what it needs, wants or desires, it will create miracles. Here's 3 things your body would tell you if you would only connect to it and listen. 1. Stop judging me! Acknowledge your body and make a conscious choice to speak lovingly to it. Ask, body how would you like me to nurture and acknowledge you? 2. I was created to have fun! Your body was designed to have fun so ask your body, what movement would it like to do? It may not be the normal, run, gym response. Your body loves to move in all sorts of different ways. It may want to dance, climb, it may want sunshine or to be outdoors in nature. 3. I'm the one eating! Ask your body what it would like to eat before eating. We can sometimes be on autopilot and consume food because it's available. When you converse with your body it will tell you exactly what it needs. We often can eat to squash emotions or to just fill a whole. When you connect with your body and you are conscious with what you are nourishing your body with. It may be food, it may need water, it may need energy or sunshine. Choose to treat your body with love. Listen to what your body has to say. It is a valuable source of information if only you learn to listen. 02.01.2022 When working with clients one of the first things I check is a client’s energetic alignment. Why? Because if your not in energetic alignment your body’s energy just won’t flow efficiently or effectively. After working with many clients I found one of the first thing they would say to me is I’m feeling out of balance or I can’t quite put my finger on it but I just don’t feel myself ... And bingo it’s usually because their energetic structure is out of alignment. They’re off centre and out of balance - energetically. A good sign that this is happening to you physically is when you walk into things or feeling clumsy. For kids walking or running into the doorways or catching themselves on tables is a pretty sure bet that they’re energetic structure is out of balance. Now there are a few reasons this can happen. Firstly, sudden loud noises or a fright can impact your energetic structure. Another, is your deep survival instincts have been triggered (by an accident, trauma, public speaking, fear of flying etc) leaving the physical body overwhelmed. Both of these impact your energetic alignment leaving you’ll probably be feeling foggy headed, spaced out, not in your body, unstable, off kilter, lacking energy, vitality and motivation. But the great thing is, it’s easy to correct. One quick balance is all it takes to restore your energy back to balance. And when you’re ‘back in your body’ you’ll be amazed at how much better, aligned and at ease you feel.

01.01.2022 Could your thoughts and emotions about the past be what's stopping you from truly enjoying the present? How many of us rehash conversations, arguments, stories or situations long after they've past? A fight with an ex, a disagreement with the boss, a harsh conversation with your kids.
