18.01.2022 Well 2020 really has delivered - nothing we had quite imagined. Life's transitions of birth and death have continued regardless of a global pandemic however restrictions and caution has re-shaped celebrations and ceremony, in some cases postponement has been necessary. As we start to unfurl, emerging gently into a new normal, I hope we can take the best of the past into a future which values our connection with others, our natural environment and a renewed respect for what i...s important. For me, that includes social, racial and climate justice and supporting our creative industries. Apart from enjoying the comfort and provocations through film, music and art throughout the year I've discovered a deeper attachment to streets, parks and gardens within my 5k radius. 15.01.2022 Farewelling loved ones during the restrictions of a global pandemic means a sad time becomes even sadder. My thoughts are with everyone experiencing grief through these times of isolation and social distancing. Today I was privileged to officiate a funeral for a much loved man - a husband, father and grandpa. Let the storytelling and memories remain strong in the hearts of the living.
