24.01.2022 I'd like to send out a million thank yous to all of my lovely friends who sent me pictures of their dogs. Not every one made it to canvas - so many dogs, so little time - but the ones who did were Pearl, Will and Lou, Loki, Jake, Nimbus, Bandit, Jakey and Honey, these guys kept company with Robbie, Sooty, Boomer, Shirley and Jess. These special characters were all a treat to paint and draw and if your dog's name is there please come to view them at our exhibition, TEACUPS AND TAILS, at the Macleay Valley Community Art Gallery 10 till 4 daily from tomorrow until Sunday April 11. Would love to see you there!

So honoured to be in the company of the divine Elizabeth MacDonald and the lovely Lynden Jacobi! Bird works are gathering - the art nest being feathered. Here are a couple of my pastel bird drawings which will be in the mix of what I will be presenting - a sweet little barn owl and a cheeky little Willy Wagtail. 12.01.2022 The most amazing night last night! The opening of our exhibition PETAL & STONE, FEATHER & BONE was fabulous! My gratitude cup runneth over.... Sincere thanks to everyone of you who came showing your support for local art - you made the event a raging success. A big thank you to Phil Young, handpan player extraordinaire, who underscored the entire evening with mellow, ambient music - Phil, you set the tone of the night - relaxed and tasteful. And speaking of taste, the delicious canapés - oh m’gawd the canapés - provided by the fabulous Dan MacDonald of Steam and Cedar were truly amazing - healthy AND indulgent at the same time.....how do you even do that? Special, special thanks to the beautiful souls who purchased pieces of my work - I love you all! Beth and Lynden, what can I say, what a pair of champions! For your energy and enthusiasm, your exceptional artworks, your humour and your friendship, for inviting me to show my work alongside your own, my deepest thanks. I love you goils! And finally thank you to my darling, darling Jim for your unflagging love & support - you are my absolute favourite husband!
12.01.2022 Classic Amazonite drops with decorated sterling silver hooks. $80
10.01.2022 What a night ! Huge thank ewes to everyone who came and celebrated with me! The studio and gallery looked gorgeous and all the more so with you all in it. Those of you who purchased pieces were the icing on the cake - the night was not really about selling work but, when people love your stuff enough to buy it, it makes an artist’s heart swell - thank you all so much . Special thanks to the divine Monique Corynne Taylor for being my official photographer for the eveni...ng . Not content to just snap away at random, her artist’s eye and sensitivity to what I do makes for some truly lovely, intimate vignettes (more to follow). You’re amazing! There are not enough words to express my gratitude to my darling daughter, Bridie (Mum did you remember x, y & z? Don’t worry I brought some.) and my AMAZING friend Sharon Spana who drove up from Exeter at 4am (this woman is always there to lend a hand when I need her most!), both dove straight in chopping and arranging and washing glasses - I could not have done it without you angels from heaven, I love you. And speaking of angels and love - my husband - Jim - always there, always supporting me, always patient and cheerful, doing all I ask of him and more. I truly am the luckiest woman in the world - thank you - I love you - forever.

05.01.2022 Well wow! - Look what I just received from a dear friend - a gorgeous memory from 1993 - an article from the start of the glory days of Moon Lodge Trading. Some of you may remember Moon Lodge, my little shop in Port Macquarie ('93 to '95) and then in Kempsey ('95 to '98) - this article took me right back to the excitement and abundant creativity of that time, all of the artists, my beautiful Barb and Julie who helped me birth an idea into a gorgeous reality. Such a happy and heart expanding time of my life.
05.01.2022 LOUIE, another precious pup almost ready for #TeacupsandTails. Two and a half weeks to go, #gettingexcitednowfolks. #mvcag , Gladstone, March 30 to April 11. #sweetestsoul #ilovedogs #dogs #dogsaregolden #dogsareart
04.01.2022 A sudden influx of beads and inspiration - not to mention some serious painting avoidance - here are some new pieces after a long, dry spell. 1. A powerful but simple statement using magnificent large turquoise beads and tribal silver. 2. Again turquoise and tribal silver. Gently graded drops are spaced with faceted silver pipes - longer but a little more delicate than the first. Turquoise brings solace to the spirit, peace, is said to aid communication, it is grounding and ...calming. 3. A beautiful large antique Yemeni silver trader bead is supported by Carnelian faceted pipes. Turquoise and Amber add their energies with more antique tribal silver. Carnelian offers motivation, concentration and creative energy. Amber brings a soothing, calming and uplifting energy. Please PM me for more information.
02.01.2022 Ok - finally figured that one out - here are the afters - Kitchen, Studio and Gallery
02.01.2022 Robbie’s starting to shine! A couple of corrections (dark splotch - what the hell is that? - front and centre and some bleed in the gold leaf - how?), a touch more detail and I think he’s close to being done!
02.01.2022 #TeacupsandTails is up and running and the visitors so far are loving it! Apologies it has taken me so long to put something up - had a bit of a frustrating time with the camera in my phone reacting quite strangely with the lighting in the gallery . To the rescue comes the divine Sharon Lamb of @scheherezade_photography to take some real photographs, with a real camera.....who’da thought? Bless you and thank you darling Sharon Lamb! So here are the Tails of #TeacupsandTails ........
