17.01.2022 Our little shop is in URGENT need of maintenance. As demand has slowed due to the virus Karen and I have made the decision to start this coming Tuesday 21st. T...his means we will be changing our hours and menu until Wednesday 29th. We will still be available for a limited breakfast menu, sandwiches, rolls, salad’s, coffee, cold drinks. We will be unable to do any burgers, steaks, souvlakis or fried food through this period. Opening will still be 3.30am Monday thru Thursday and 4.30 Friday with doors closed at 1pm. We would also like to thank the RSL and all those who have pledged support for Anzac Day breakfast. If you can send through your contact details we can phone you during the week with how you can help out. Normal trading and hours will recommence Thursday 30th. See more

17.01.2022 It was terrific to reopen yesterday morning at 3.30 after almost a week closed. I’d like to thank our wonderful girls for their hard work at the shop during this time. Great to once again be able to look after our fantastic customers who frequent our shop from around 3.45am until 2.30 pm. Normal trading hours resume from Monday to Thursday 3.30am - 2.30pm and Friday 04.30 - 2.30pm. We have had our license changed so we can also offer home delivery. Karen and I would also like to express our thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of breakfast to some of our communities returned service men and women and widows. If I name you I will forget someone but please be rest assured your efforts were very much appreciated. A special thanks to the RSL for their support.

05.01.2022 Easter is now done and dusted for another year. A very different Easter to what we are used to. We at Karen’s Wharf Cafe thank everyone for their support of our little business but now is our time to give back to this wonderful community. Anzac Day is fast approaching and for some with the social distancing and the cancellation of the Marches to commemorate our heroes they will have to remain alone and not be able to get about and mingle with their mates and have a hearty br...eakfast and a tot of rum. We have decided that after we play the Last Post and observe a minutes silence at the end of our driveway we want to cook and deliver breakfast free of charge to some of our returned service men or women who can’t get out. If anyone knows of anyone who requires a breakfast on the day can you please pm me so we can get it organised. 03.01.2022 We clean and disinfect our benches and fridge doors on the hour using Dettol disinfectant. Whatever we can do to help mitigate the risks involved we will do. If any other businesses out there are doing differently and better please share so we can all maintain the highest standards of hygiene.
