25.01.2022 So tired this morning, such a busy day at Manly Creative Market yesterday. The sea breeze was amazing, gentle and cool under the Moreton Bay fig tree. Blessed with great company and lovely customers. Had a lovely day except when it comes to packing up, 700 books, tables, tents, chairs and all the necessary extras took forever to pack into the bookmobile. I love my little hobby. See you next week.

24.01.2022 Been a busy week, painting the house, I only finished 1 book. However it was an awesome Australian author. Candice Fox is brilliant, she co wrote with James Patterson. Her novels are full of quirky characters. Her Australian, series set in Cairns is heart stopping. Thankyou to Elaine for convincing me to try her. 4 stars cant wait for the next book.

20.01.2022 My lovely friend Heather and he hubby Alan, her stall is beautiful. My littlest grand daughter loves the dolls she stocks.

18.01.2022 All packed ready for the Manly Creative Market tomorrow, hoping for lovely weather.

17.01.2022 So looking forward to the market. Hoping for a lovely cool day with a breeze. See you tomorrow.

16.01.2022 Hopefully back with you all on Sunday, the weather was appalling last weekend. Looking forward to a beautiful summer Sunday. Karen

16.01.2022 Busy week, my work bench today. Bring on Sunday at Manly Creative Markets.

15.01.2022 Oh dear the work bench is getting more attention than my reading. Only managed to novels this week.

15.01.2022 Had a little holiday this week, most people read a book on holidays. This bookworm didn't so, no book review this week. However if you want to have a bit of fun read a Janet Evanovic novel what a crack up, or a Carl Hiaasen. Both authors write very funny books. Look them up. See you tomorrow. Regards Karen the Book lady, No wine was consumed during this post.

14.01.2022 Beautiful weather predicted for Sunday, that means I will have dry books this Sunday. I have a lovely collection of Agatha Christie mysteries available tomorrow.

14.01.2022 The weather is looking very promising for Sunday, light winds predicted. Have just spent 2 hours at the workbench, sorting, cleaning, pricing and packing. Need another 2 hours tomorrow. Normally I would spend about 8 hours a weeks chasing books during the week, so well stocked at the moment it is great to have the extra time to organize my work area. See you Sunday and Alan Spears if you read this I am bringing cheese cake on Sunday.

12.01.2022 Due to the weather Karen's Pre loved Books will not be at Manly Creative Markets tomorrow. Books don't do well in wind and rain.

11.01.2022 So hot, come and join us at Manly Creative Market this Sunday and enjoy the sea breeze. I have plenty of summer reading and my fellow stall holders have a wonderful selection of goods. See you in the morning. We are expecting over a 100 stalls, something for everyone.

11.01.2022 Huge week, I will be at Manly Creative Market tomorrow. I only read one book this week, so busy . " Northern Lights " by Nora Roberts as usual a wonderful, mystery, romance thriller. The setting was amazing, the characters interesting, well worth a read. 4 stars.

10.01.2022 This little Janet Evanovic was written before the Stephanie Plum by the numbers series. Janet credits this book with giving her the inspiration for grandma. I read it in few hours, lovely cosey mystery romance. 3 stars.

09.01.2022 All packed ready for the Sunday Manly Creative Market, bit excited.

09.01.2022 If you are a Nora Roberts fan Sandra Brown is for you. Her romantic suspense novel Tailspin was a great read, fast paced, unusual twists and very appealing characters. 4 stars from me.

07.01.2022 Bought 2 collections yesterday. Now I have lovely holiday reading for those of you getting ready for holidays. The work bench was busy today. Still more to get ready for Sunday.

06.01.2022 This is a cosy mystery by Heather Webber. Lots of fun and easy to read. Better know cosy writers are Lillian Jackson Brawn, The Cat Who Mysteries and Joanna Fluke famous for her Hannah Swensen series. If you like a light comical murder mystery you will enjoy "A Hoe Lot of Trouble." XXX 3 stars as it is her first book.

04.01.2022 Wonderful day at Manly Creative Market yesterday, thankyou to all that visited. One very tired book lady.

04.01.2022 Read this funny little cosy mystery it was the first in the series. Set in 1999 when the Y2K bug was worrying the world. This little book made me laugh, no doubt I will never find the rest of them. I gave it 3 stars.

01.01.2022 Another brilliant book by an Australian author, "Trust" by Chris Hammer. A crime thriller set in Sydney and the northern beach area. Fans of fast paced crime with a collection of interesting characters will enjoy this author.I gave it 4 stars.
