23.01.2022 The rain eased and the sun came out this morning and finally a chance to do some weeding and organising. The growth in the garden with the last few weeks of rain is amazing. It’s been years since it was like this - quite wet underfoot and the weeds are pulling easily. What a blessing a little rain is. #green #verdant #garden Don’t be fooled tho - there are lots of lush weeds in there for me to pull looking like should be there and helping make the garden look full! . 11.01.2022 I spent the last of the winter Soltice and the last few days on Bruny Is. 08.01.2022 We have been doing a few quick photo shoots for upcoming events, updates and bits & pieces over the last few weeks and I must say I really don’t like them. It’s rather uncomfortable and I am totally unphotogenic. I also grew up believing that if you weren’t perfect in every way then you shouldn’t be in front of a camera. Air brushing in magazines in the 70’s & 80’s & 90’s have a lot to answer for! So what does one do during a photo shoot... role your eyes, sing, chatter ... anything to avoid the fake smile. 01.01.2022 The pear blossom is incredible this year. There is just so much of it. This pear tree is over 120 years old and still performs amazingly. There used to be orchards where our houses are now and some of the remnant trees remain. We think this one is a Napoleon Pear, a great cooking pear that ripens late but we have discovered in the last few years it also makes great Perry. Working on ramping that up this year - it’s going to be a super dooper crop! #springblossom #ancientpeartree #pearblossom
