07.01.2022 Creating beautiful and joy-filled sensory art is at the very core of local artist and Karingal resident, Sara Catena's work. As a painter she works with acrylic, oil stick and embroidery thread on recycled textiles and linen. She loves to work beyond the boundaries of the traditional frame by adding timber and textile embellished features or working directly into a physical space. Sara has been chosen to participate in Showcase Victoria an annual event showcasing artists and performers and you’ll find Sara working on her current project ‘Shrine of the Sacred Self’ every Wednesday to Sunday in her pop up studio down at Star Zone (next to Goodlife).
