25.01.2022 Happy Spring Equinox! At last some Spring weather for Margaret River Open Studios after days of storms, freezing temperatures, hail and rain. Winter sure gave us a final farewell handshake. It was impossible to demonstrate gilding during last weekend. 22.01.2022 We had a good day today at the first day of Margaret River Region Open Studios with around 100 visitors checking out the 3 artist's artwork. The Spring weather was just perfect, no wind and sunshine and about 18oC. I had a few friends drop by which was lovely just to sit down, take a breather and be with. I have a few affordable paintings in the display too and 1 was sold last night at the opening of the exhibition to a local High School Teacher, who is an artist herself. :-)

21.01.2022 One of my Limited Edition prints that is On Sale called 'Luminosity' has been posted express to Melbourne to one of my old friends that I met in New Delhi about 15 years ago. They then moved from India to Margaret River Western Australia and has since then moved to the big smoke of the city where I was born, Melbourne.

18.01.2022 My signature piece, 'Luminosity' for the exhbition, 'Luminosity' has been sold today. It seems perfect that it sold on the Spring equinox and on a holy Thursday. A very happy Artist and Happy Patron. :-)

16.01.2022 This huge canvas ‘ISIS’ has been wrapped up and in storage for 17 years. I’m trying to smooth it flat and I’m going to give it some additional gold And silver leaf embellishments and have it completed for the next art exhibition on 9th January. It’s 3 metres long (9’10).

15.01.2022 One beautiful cross that was painted In gold paint has now been gilded in gold Leaf ready for this weekends coming retreat for the altar of The Order of the Cross. This piece took me 2 weeks of working on it most nights.

10.01.2022 One of My Friends and patrons drove the 350km from perth to see the exhibition and in particular to experience the energy of the painting, ‘Luminosity’. I think he received a blast. What do you think?

09.01.2022 'Infinite Legacy' A lovely gentleman contacted me 4 years ago to request a very special commission for his wife. They had bought a painting from me 16 years ago and even then I didn't meet them as I was overseas at the time. The commission was to be a total surprise for her and the words of poetry in the painting, all 350 of them were composed and written by the husband to his wife. Shortly after this his wife became unwell and required a lung transplant. Although I didn'...t know her, I became involved in their story by regular emails correspondence. I feel very sad that she suddenly died two days ago as she was well and thriving. We talked over the years about going out for lunch and only last week they was discussing coming 'down south' to meet. We never did make that promised lunch out. The painting will be featured during the funeral.

09.01.2022 I created a little colour and a bit of chill-out space for myself and guests in the courtyard of the Open Studios space. (number 60 in your catalogue). After passing through the woodworking art and wood turning studio and getting grounded, they then walk through the gold leaf room and have a luminous gold bath and then pass into the outdoor area and have a colour bath and a tranquil wind-down before exiting through the forest the property. One of my 'works in progress' paintings to show people how my paintings progress from start onwards has been popular and a couple of people have asked to buy it as is...I am always surprised that often people want to buy my unfinished paintings. 07.01.2022 I started painting this mask after returning from a spiritual pilgrimage to Peru in 2012. I’ve always had it by me in the studio to finish but never got around to it. Now that I’ve put her on my new studio door at The Hive, I feel I can work on her weekly. Watch this space to see the end result. 05.01.2022 As part of The Hive @ The Heart, our group were given 11 days to get an exhibition together due to a cancellation at The Heart. 16 Artists participated and today we all hung our work at The Heart, Margaret River Cultural Centre. It all looks pretty good. Opening Night Come along and help celebrate the official opening of The HIVE, Margaret River Art Collective’s Group Show 2021. Friday 26 March, 5:30pm 7pm.

01.01.2022 I’ve been working on this canvas since the start of open studios and it’s so tricky to actually find time to paint while chatting to people about all the artwork in my exhibition,’luminosity’. So far it’s al canvas on gold leaf and was only meant to be a demonstration piece of how I work with gold Leaf but I’ve decided to turn it into a ‘real’ painting as I can see something interesting emerging in the darker copper leaf.
