Whilst a lot of the world is focusing on world leaders and high profile women today, I’d love to just share with you that I have spent my life surrounded by amazing women! ... My daughter’s, my Mother, my step-daughters, my friends, colleagues and clients. But today, I’d love to give a shout out to @ms.milly__ ! For any of you that don’t know her, she is the 2IC at Karin Murton Hair Design. She’s an amazing Senior Stylist, a creative artist, and excels in Hairdressing and Managerial skills. A little bit about Milly; Milly with her family, arrived in Australia when she was 8 years old from Ghana. That’s not an easy gig at any age! Naturally, English is her second language. Milly overcame adversity in many areas of her young life. Completed her primary school years in Australia, onto high school, to complete year 12. She completed a school-based traineeship in Hairdressing whilst at school. When she left school, she began her salon life as an Apprentice. Unfortunately, that didn’t work out well for Milly, and a year later she re-started her Apprenticeship with KMHD. Our WIN!! Milly completed her TAFE and Apprenticeship with KMHD. Even before completing her Apprenticeship, Milly had already forged a strong clientele base for herself. Her vibrant, honest personality was attractive, and she just wanted to please every client. Her drive to always improve is absolutely inspirational! She excelled at all the @wellaeducation Colour educational programmes, mentored our up and coming Apprentices, took on board every challenge that was thrown her way, and always went above and beyond to strive and improve. Today; she is a vivacious, confident young woman, dedicated to always working with her clients to gain the best outcomes. Her Hairdressing knowledge is beyond her years! Her clients continually gravitate to her, simply because she delivers! I’m extremely proud of what she has achieved, her loyalty and compassion is such an admirable skill, yet she remains humble. Milly said to me today: I know where I’ve come from, if you get opportunities to work, you work hard. And hard, she has worked!! @ms.milly__ , you are a dynamic young woman Happy International Women’s Day!!
