17.01.2022 We used 2 ram lambs as natural sires this year in addition to Bob (8079/18). Their lambs are just starting to drop - right on time. This healthy set of triplets and ripper single belong to sire Karinya 9028/19 (1/2 share sold to Bundara Downs). Note: 9028 is being collected and semen will be available for purchase. Further details to follow in the coming months.

16.01.2022 The first of Bob’s (8079) lambs hit the deck today. This one is from a maiden ewe purchased from Horseshoe Bend stud just down the road. Bob was our favourite ram from our show team last year. As well as that he was Champion Ram of the Northam Show, part of our winning interbreed group of rams team from the Perth Royal and Supreme of the British Breeds at the Dinninup show. We are very excited about his progeny making their appearance over the next few weeks.

16.01.2022 We used the last 9 doses of semen from 655/15 this year. This went to the ewes we purchased from Lynburn and Pamellen dispersal sales.

15.01.2022 Here is another of the sires we used this year as a ram lamb. 9089.

14.01.2022 Karinya Ram lamb 118/20 on his way to his allocated ewes. He is sired by Bob 8079/18, a continuation of the 655 line and out of a dam purchased last year from Horseshoe Bend. With a mid July birth date, 118 has pretty impressive lambplan growth figures. BWT 0.69 WWT 12.4 PWWT 20.0 PFAT -0.5... PEMD 0.6 TCP 146.6 See more

12.01.2022 It was really nice to be back in the show ring at Wagin Woolorama yesterday and to catch up with other Suffolk breeders. Karinya saw a lot of red (in a good way) with many second ribbons. In addition to this our standout results were 31/20 sired by Karinya Leo receiving Reserve Champion Ram and 319/20 sired by Pamellen Clancy receiving Champion Ewe. 319/20 then went on to be sashed Grand Champion of the Suffolks.

12.01.2022 The ewe show team selections have been done. Fingers crossed there are some shows to go to.

07.01.2022 AI lambs sired by Karinya ‘Leo’ 8123/18. The most even of the groups.

06.01.2022 It was AI day today. We had a great result using vasectomised rams as teasers, with 100% of ewes retaining cidrs marked. 81 ewes were inseminated to the following rams; 27 to Karinya 9028/19 26 to Karinya ‘Leo’ 8123/18 28 to Bowen ‘Bruce’ 922/19 Semen from both Karinya rams is available for purchase.

05.01.2022 Had to get a video of this very noisey little lamb, not long birthed. Thought it must be a ram lamb with all that noise, but alas it was a ewe.

02.01.2022 We had the rams in the yards yesterday so took a few pictures. This is 9028.
