22.01.2022 Mandatory Contact Registration at Karinya Equestrian Centre As of 5th December 2020, The Western Australian Government has announced that particular businesses and venues, including Karinya Equestrian Centre will be required to maintain a mandatory contact register. The Government has released the free SafeWA contact register app, which can be used to scan QR codes at Karinya Equestrian Park for fast and simple contact registration. ... Registration via the SafeWA app will be required for all visitors 16 years and older for each separate visit to the venue. If you don't have a smart phone, there is a paper based register available inside clubrooms. Download the SafeWA app at www.wa.gov.au/safewa

12.01.2022 PLEASE BE CAREFUL PEOPLE. Whilst at the grounds this morning several people had their handbags and purses stolen from their cars. These people were at their floats prepping their horses and these thieves were brazen enough to slip into their cars in the early morning darkness. The probable offenders were parked on the side of the road near the drains ready for a quick getaway. Police attended the grounds and have advised that cars be locked at all times and keep your valuables on you. Also do not confront the offenders. Please keep and eye on cars that seem unusual or something that appears to be out of place.

Thank you EFFECTIVE 01/02/2021 We have been advised by the City of Gosnells that the Karinya Grounds will be temporarily closed during this period of Lock Down. We shall advise when grounds are approved to be opened again

10.01.2022 Important message to all members of the user groups at Karinya Equestrian Park. On behalf of the KEP Management Committee, we need to remind you that as members of the clubs that call Karinya home, that there are rules for the use of the grounds for members utilising the grounds out of normal user group sessions. ie club rallys. It has been brought the management committee’s attention of some misuse of the grounds. As members of the clubs, you have the privilege of access t...o use the grounds (excluding the undercover arena) to ride your horses. However, it has been reported that people are bringing along additional horses that aren’t being ridden and allowed to gallop freely around the grounds; this is not a one off occasion but several times. The risks of this activity is multiple 1. Damage to the actual grounds 2. The horse risks serious injury there are still rabbit holes, hitting a fence etc this list goes on with a horse! 3. Risk of injury to another person who maybe on their horse, (either on the grounds or on an adjacent property) with another horse careering around causing upset These grounds are leased from the council and the council workers are around the area regularly; loose horses racing around and digging up the grass is not going to go down well with them and we run the risk of this backfiring back at us for the misuse of the grounds and may put our lease agreement in jeopardy You are also reminded that only paid club members are allowed on the grounds - NO non-members are permitted to ride on the grounds. If you are asked by someone if you are a member of a club, you need to provide them your name (first and last) Thank you Karinya Equestrian Park - Management Committee
