24.01.2022 Today marks the official end to the quietest fire season in more than a decade, a welcome and stark contrast to last year. This season, NSW RFS members have res...ponded to just over 5,500 bush and grass fires that have burnt 30,963 hectares across NSW, considerably less than the 11,400 fires and 5.5 million hectares lost last season. Thank you to our incredible members who continuously step up to help when called upon, protecting communities across the state

We hope everyone gets a chance to relax after such a challenging year. Wishing you a safe and happy Christmas.
