17.01.2022 S E L F D I S C O V E R Y As an extroverted introvert, I know I refuel best with time on my own, in my own space or doing my own thing. I am quick to recognise when I’ve spread out my energy too thin or have been around others’ energies too much and need to pull it all in (and retreat). Lately I have recognised that I am quick to default to this mindset as it’s my safe place, when I actually need the opposite. Helping others does not mean carrying their ‘stuff’ - you’re not here to carry bags that are filled with pain, worries, doubts, guilts, triggers, fears from others We all have our own stuff to carry.... Carrying things for others only makes your energy heavier and prolongs the parts that need healing for both parties. A lesson I’ve learnt trying to carry too many bags at once. Instead, let them unpack their own bag while you stand alongside them. Lead by example by clearing through your own stuff in ways that serve you. To act as a constant but gentle reminder, guidance and direction throughout the year as it unfolds. 2020 was my year to CREATE. There is no right way you should be feeling right now. What a whirlwind! Allow yourself to process it, not just your emotions but acknowledge the energy you are feeling on behalf of the collective. Sometimes it difficult to separate the two.... You can feel grateful, happy, even proud for the ease of restrictions and also feel frustrated, sad, tired, confused at a number of things. They are all valid feelings. Be kind to one another, three days at home looks and feels different for everyone. 05.01.2022 D E S C I S I O N S This is how I make aligned decisions: Intuitive pull - Gut feeling - heartfelt yes. If any parts of these are missing, something is out of alignment. So I wait.... It hasn’t always been that way. Indecisiveness is a real libra trait! ... I use to struggle with any form of decision making, weighing up the options, wanting to keep everyone happy, genuinely unsure what I wanted and letting others make up my mind for me at times. I’ve notice the more connected I am to myself, the more decisions flow. The more I set boundaries, the clearer choices become. The more I stand in my own personal power, the stronger my intuition is. Although it’s not always that simple and I still struggle at times when I’m stuck in my head rather than my heart, this is a continuous part of my own healing. Something Ive worked very hard to be better at too. Most of all - you do you! Nothing is more powerful than a person standing in alignment of their own inner-strength.... This can take a whole lot of self-work and doesnt mean the negativity disappears but it is the most powerful repellent of not absorbing energies from others. 03.01.2022 I N T E R N A L W O R L D Imagine if we prescribed meditation to clear up our skin, or energy healing to help heal the gut. Our internal world impacts our outer physical world. I’ve always felt this. ... I had a client reach out to tell me recently that for a first time in an extremely long time she looks at photos of herself and likes what she sees. Followed by the most beautiful realisation, she said; this isn’t because of any physical changes I’ve made, but the inner work I’ve done. 02.01.2022 O N T H E G O Admittedly I’m more of a doing person. My default mode is to be ON - physically on the go and my mind constantly switched to on. I fit a number of things into one day, I’m all for being active, my mind has many tabs open at any one time, can multitask something fierce, yet sometimes still don’t think it’s enough.... Even with all the inner-work I do and the nature of my work with clients, I still need to consciously remind myself to switch down a mode and slow down. Knowing this makes me more conscious in my choices and to find my own balance. A reminder that it can take effort to slow down. It’s not an easy mode for a lot of people... Doing the slower self care things (ie meditation) can feel just as much effort as the more active things at times (ie going to the gym). 01.01.2022 Y I N Y T T Yin Yoga Teacher Training completed AND it so happened to be on International Yoga Day! . . I love learning. I love adding layers to my knowledge, challenging my perspectives, absorbing, incorporating, reflecting, applying. Mostly I love sharing. Yoga has allowed my to do all of this in a way that feels so aligned with my soul.... My first yin yoga experience was about 6+ years ago, I left feeling a little frustrated at the slower pace, but with my curious mind I was intrigued.
