05.01.2022 Remember THIS WOMAN Look at this woman - Let us never forget! The world hasnt just become wicked...its always been wicked.... The prize doesnt always go to the most deserving. Her name is Irena Sendler She Died 12 May 2008 (aged 98) in Warsaw, Poland During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto, as a plumbing/sewer specialist. She had an ulterior motive. She KNEW what the Nazis plans were for the Jews (being German). Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger children). She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the infants noises. During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 children/infants. She was caught, and the Nazis broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most had been gassed. Those children she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted. Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was not selected. President Obama won one year before becoming President for his work as a community organizer for ACORN Al Gore won also --- for a slide show on Global Warming. In MEMORIAM - 63 YEARS LATER Were doing our small part by posting this message. I hope youll consider doing the same... It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended. This posting stands as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated! Now, more than ever, with Iran, and others, claiming the HOLOCAUST to be a myth. Its imperative to make sure the world never forgets, because there are others who would like to do it again. Share this posting and be a link in the memorial chain and help us distribute it around the world. It will only take you a minute to pass this along...

03.01.2022 I find it absolutely deplorable and in fact totally disheartening to read many of the comments on the thread regarding the rescue and subsequent first 24 hours ...of Daisys life in the previous post. Those that comment and make judgements and assumptions without knowing all the facts! Im totally amazed at the disconnect that some people have. Im totally in shock at the pure lack of humanity individuals have for sentient beings. Im constantly reminded of the evil that is in humans and how they would prefer to see little Daisy suffer than to see her safe, warm, loved and cared for. One Little Lamb That is now alive thanks to a quick thinking, fast acting, kind hearted individual, who knew this little one needed urgent help before the freezing, cold night drew in. She would not have survived and there was no time to wait. No time! Ask yourself, What would you do? Stand by and watch an animal suffer and die a horrific death, or act? Far too many people are Lookie Lous and Criticising Chris Those that can, do! Those that cant, sit there behind a keyboard sprouting about what shoulda, coulda, woulda! WE CHOOSE TO DO ! WE CHOOSE TO SAVE LIVES! WE CHOOSE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! We are the ones setting the alarm at 12 midnight and 3 or 4am to do the night feeds. We are the ones emotionally wrecked when these babies dont make it. Daisy is still critical and her care depends on us. Make the connection. If it was a cat, dog, rabbit, horse, or any other companion animal, perhaps people might think differently. We will continue to save lives. We are a rescue. We will continue to give 110% for every animal that comes into our care. Dont like it? Perhaps youre on the wrong page? Question it? Youre definitely on the wrong page!
