25.01.2022 Yesterday morning, to my absolute horror, I found this otherworldly creature, a Sacred King Fisher in the front yard, taken by one of the dogs. The day before, I accidentally created a pattern in glass that resembled feathers, so yesterday I decided to see if I could do it again. I'm absolutely delighted with the result. This one is in honor of the dead little King fisher. There definitely will be more of these bowls!

24.01.2022 I don't make this shape very often but this little bowl rendered itself perfect for a seaweedy kind of pattern #greenglass #naturepatterns#blownglass

05.01.2022 So I got all systems up and running but the annealing kiln broke down. While waiting for a new controller, what better to do than whale watching!? It is absolutely amazing out there. So unique to have all these humpbacks hanging out together just here #humpbackwhales #sapphirecoast#brokenannealer#oceaninspiration #lovenature

03.01.2022 This is what I woke up to yesterday morning ( well, a much hotter version of it). One of the elements in the furnace had broken and fallen into the pot. This is a big pot. It fits 90 kg of glass. Thankfully it wasn't completely full. So very, very frustrating As all my fellow glass workers know , probably all too well, when things are operating at these temperatures and the material is as fickle and demanding as this, all sorts of failures are inevitable. Yet, we carry on!

01.01.2022 Happiness is having a pot full of molten glass again and rain on the tin roof ( I took this picture through the lens on my infrared protective glasses) #glassblowing #begavalley #sapphirecoastnsw

01.01.2022 Loving these cute little vases that I just came up with. They will be available in all sorts of colors in a not too far future ! #handmadewithlove #begavalley #blueglass
