25.01.2022 Lake City Rodders are enjoying their annual Valentine's Day Rod Run today, this year in Nelson. What a setting to stop and have lunch.

23.01.2022 So good to see the Pressy ladies having a good time with us again this year at their annual gathering. Thanks to Sandra Waterhouse for allowing us to share this set of images.

19.01.2022 Look what turned up on Ocean Beach this morning for a little R and R. On first sighting, we thought this was kelp bobbing about in the water. The seal came ashore to loll about in the sand for longer than we could stay and watch. Thrilling to see.

19.01.2022 Sooo much water! Spectacular yet devastating. In our fourteen years of living in Nelson, we've never seen the river or the beach looking like it does right now as it catches all that is rapidly flowing downstream. We took a drive to Nigretta Falls on Wednesday and snapped this image.

18.01.2022 We had fun giving 'Cabin 6' a funky makeover this winter, trying a different paint effect on one wall. We're getting comments that it looks like timber! This particular cabin gets lots of use due to its generous size. It berths 8,is a popular choice for a boys' room on school camps, and doubles as an extra meeting room from time to time. Consequently, it is subject to much wear and tear and seems to need refreshing constantly. This is 'the look' for this round.

17.01.2022 Louise Adams is among the entertainment lined up for Road 2 River Festival coming up in Nelson on March 19th - and - this is the only weekend in the month that Karnkendi is available! Grab a group of friends and make a special weekend away!

13.01.2022 Katrina Davies Hutchesson Flood waters flowing out through the Glenelg River estuary and into the Southern Ocean - so glad the mouth of the river is currently that wide.

07.01.2022 It has certainly been a very busy time in Nelson over Easter. We trust you and your loved ones all had a very safe and happy break. May the Spirit of Easter remain with all our happy campers over the remainder of the year.

05.01.2022 Happy 'Almost' Spring! After a sleepy, wet winter in Nelson, management is back on deck from annual leave and preparing for the busy season ahead. More refurbishments have taken place over the quieter months. We'll post some shots over the coming weeks. In the meantime, enjoy this pic of our almond blossom - a sign of hope that spring is just around the corner.

05.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW? 'Karnkendi' is an Aboriginal word meaning 'place of laughter'? We've been reminded of that this week with 'more than usual' kookaburra laughter around the camp. Declining kookaburra activity has recently been reported across the region so we're VERY happy some are still calling Karnkendi home.

04.01.2022 Passersby at Karnkendi who also drop in from time to time
