12.01.2022 During #NationalDEWeek2020 share the ‘Find a Developmental Educator’ website page to help others learn how they can find a DE! The DEAI lists Developmental Educ...ators, who are engaged as sole practitioners or who work for an agency, on the DEAI website as requested. This register was developed to assist NDIS Participants, families and other professionals to find the services of Developmental Educators. There are listings for most states in Australia and the list is steadily growing. Families, Planners, LACs and Support Coordinators often use this list to find a DE! Link to page: http://www.deai.com.au/developmental-educators-with-registe If you are a DE, or your business provides developmental education services, and you would like to be added to this list, please complete this online form: https://www.deai.com.au/find-a-developmental-educator-appli Image description: white background with words ‘FIND A DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATOR! middle and centre of the image in black font. 08.01.2022 December 7 marks the first day of National Developmental Educators Week 2020 This year our theme is Human Rights. Human rights protect everyone, including pe...ople with disability. The United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (the UN Disability Convention/UNCRPD) in 2006 when it was recognised that people with disability are often overlooked in human rights discussions. Australia committed to protect and respect the rights in the Convention in 2008. There are a number of resources and promotional materials to help you celebrate this wonderful week and the theme of Human Rights - be sure to visit the website! The DEAI are so excited that #NationalDEWeek2020 is finally here. We can’t wait to see how Developmental Educators all around Australia celebrate our amazing profession. Please share your story of how you celebrated National DE Week post on your website/social media using #NationalDEWeek2020 and tag the DEAI so we can share your posts too!
