25.01.2022 Don’t forget to register for the WAB Youth Ensemble auditions next weekend. For ages 10 and above, a fantastic opportunity for local dancers to work with our state ballet company

24.01.2022 I hope everyone is enjoying the last few days of holidays! They sure have flown by but i'm excited for classes to start and the year ahead Term 1 classes are starting on Thursday 4th February. This gives everyone a few days to settle into school before attending their ballet classes. A reminder that you must email to re enrol for 2021, enrolments are not automatically carried over from last year.... Can't wait to see you all!!

24.01.2022 Karratha Ballet Academy uniforms for sale! Now that it’s cooling down these KBA branded crossovers are perfect to wear to, from and during class. We also have white t-shirts and just a few of these cute dance bags. ... Email [email protected] to order

22.01.2022 Online classes with Zoom start this afternoon! To those who have ballet on a Wednesday afternoon (RAD Grade 1, Grade 4 and Intermediate) you have been sent an email with the details. Everyone please keep an eye on your emails over the next few days for information regarding your child's online class. Attending / completing the online classes is not compulsory, but highly recommended. As we were only able to get 6 weeks of classes in this year, I fear too many weeks off will... impact students' ability to progress with the syllabus when we return to normal classes (and will certainly impact exam readiness for some). It's important for students to keep their bodies and muscles working and the ballet exercises fresh in their memories! Online classes will be demonstration only, with myself conducting the exercises and students following along at home. Let's have some fun and keep dancing!!

19.01.2022 2021 ENROLMENTS Thank you to those who have expressed interest in enrolling for next year. A draft 2021 timetable will be released in a few weeks (draft meaning classes are subject to enrolments) and enrolments accepted from January onwards.... Please wait and get in touch in January as we are still so busy preparing for the end of year concert! Contact via Facebook, email info@karrathaballetacademy or phone 0438 397 113

16.01.2022 Thank you to everyone that tuned into their online ballet class over the last few days! They’ve been a great success so far and lots of fun! It’s been fantastic to see students dancing at home with mums, dad and siblings joining in too! This is the new normal for now.... we will continue with zoom classes until the end of term (Thursday 9th April). We will mostly follow the normal timetable, with a few evening classes being a little earlier for the next two weeks as online classes are slightly shorter than our usual lessons. Thank you for your support - let’s keep dancing

14.01.2022 I hope everyone has enjoyed their (quiet!) school holidays. A term 2 update was sent via email at the start of the week and invoices (for weeks 1-5) have also been emailed. You must let me know if you will not be continuing your enrolment this term. If you withdraw your enrolment you will be kept on the mailing list so please keep an eye out for updates on when classes can resume in our studio. let's all keep our fingers and toes crossed that face to face classes can resume... later in the term! For now, Zoom classes will continue starting this Monday 27th April. The Zoom Timetable was sent in the Term 2 Update email (classes are shorter, and many commence earlier than in term 1). This weekend everyone will be sent the school ID and Password for every Zoom lesson along with the Online Class Waiver. I look forward to seeing everyone on Zoom!!

12.01.2022 Exciting news! Classes can resume in the studio from next Monday 18th May! Zoom classes will continue as usual this week. More information will be sent via email so keep an eye out. I'm very much looking forward to getting back into the studio with you all

10.01.2022 Yesterday we had 31 students undertake their RAD exams and class awards. A huge congratulations to these students who have been working hard towards this goal (on top of concert preparation!!). It's been a busy few months and I know all your hard work paid off yesterday. I am very grateful to the Royal Academy of Dance, who continues to support RAD ballet training in regional WA. We were lucky enough to have WA local examiner, Suzanne Arrigo travel to Karratha for the day. A huge thank you to the Red Earth Arts Precinct who let us use the venue for the day, they were very accommodating! We're so lucky to have such an amazing community arts centre.

10.01.2022 The last time WAB was to bring a show to Karratha it was cancelled due to the cyclone! So exciting that they will be performing for us on Friday 9th April. A group of local dancers are currently working with WAB teaching staff to perform a curtain raiser for the show. I highly recommend grabbing your tickets before it sells out!!

09.01.2022 I had a great time conducting dance workshops in Paraburdoo, Onslow and Pannawonica this week. The kids were enthusiastic and had a lot of fun dancing with props We forgot to get photos with some of the groups so just a few snaps below..... Thank you to the Shire of Ashburton for inviting me to their school holiday program.

It was inspiring and moving very proud of the Karratha Ballet Academy girls and all the other talented local dancers.
