They are self-contained, in a motel style building, with own patio, with either a king bed or a queen and single bed configuration. 5 minutes from town. 10.01.2022 On a mini-break to visit family. We took the opportunity to step into the shoes of a tourist and took a day trip to York today! We started at the York motor museum, which was amazing. Zave loved the fire engine from 1927 the best! We then stopped at the park by the river for some play time!... Then lunch at the bakery and on to look for the giant sculptures made out of hay! We found the giant Cod and giant Turtle.... couldn't find the Numbat though! Couldn't go past the Sweet Shop either! Then had a quick mosey through the glass / art gallery and stopped on the way home for the mandatory canola crop pic! The colours of the countryside at the moment are so lush. The history and buildings are unique. York is just over an hour's drive from Perth and 4.5 hours from Denmark. Worth a day trip or an overnighter with some lovely accommodation options available. Was worth the muddy shoes though!... The colours are magical! We get a lot of people asking us if we do pensioner rates, do we have a membership discount program, do we do better rates out of school holidays? YES of course we do!... We encourage all of our guests (and return guests) to call us directly, we can do you the best rate, and if you see a rate elsewhere that's better than ours, we will match it, or even better, we will beat it! When you book directly with your accommodation provider the money stays in the local economy and we like to do the same when we travel to pay it forward. We lovingly call our repeat customers Friends Of Karri Aura Or FOKA's for short it's a thing! We think it will catch on! So if you refer a friend or stay again, mention you're a FOKA and you will automatically be granted a discount. We love our community vibe here at Karri Aura, it's cruisy, we like it that way. Time slows down here, it's magical and serene, the sunsets are divine and we a located in "the Aura of Food" for Denmark, with some of the best restaurants in the area within a 4km radius (walk or drive, you choose) Our only advice is to book well in advance, we only have a small park with ensuite sites, and 6 x self-contained studio suites with uninterrupted mountain views.
