25.01.2022 Tree of life completed except for the hangers. I had made the copper tree at the beginning of Covid 19 self isolation however it just sat there waiting for the leaves and my creativity to bloom again. As the world slowly began to grow and flourish again this tree grew with it. I loved working with the beading process.



25.01.2022 Well 200 sea creatures later and a very tired artist am I this morning however what a fantastic day at the Augusta River Festival. I thoroughly enjoyed getting creative with all of the children and a big thank you to Tamara and Steve for helping out. The art work the children made was awesome

25.01.2022 Another day working on this commission of Cosy Corner. Slowly building up the layers of depth and colour.

25.01.2022 A very busy day at the gallery today. So busy I only got to work on my current commission after I closed shop. Waiting for the paint to dry before I add more detail to the foreground. I think I will be in bed by 7 tonight!!



25.01.2022 The Saw blade Commission has now gone to its new home. My next commission is now in the creating. Base coat down . Foreground to add , detail and build up of colours and textures . Easter has also arrived at Oriel Karridale Gallery.

23.01.2022 Today’s felting workshop held at Oriel Karridale Gallery produced some very creative and beautiful finished pieces. Fantastic work ladies. We started the day with an hour of yoga and then proceeded to make our own felt. The finished results are all framed up ready to take home. I can’t wait for the next one

23.01.2022 My ongoing Covid 19 project. Tree of life. I started beading it today. Mixed media... wire, metal, beads.



19.01.2022 I have been making a few additions to the outside of the gallery and carpark. I’ve warped up a huge frame yesterday ready to create a recycled beach rope weavin...g. Any rope you may find or have to spare I would love it please to help build on this project. New pots and plants have been added and I am currently working on a grass tree sculpture. Wood henge adds interest to our garden. Paintings have been flying out of the door. Feeling very creative, there are just not enough hours in the day . See more

17.01.2022 I have been busy creating textiles for the gallery using a needle felting technique. I am also looking forward to welcoming a group of ladies joining me for a wet felt making workshop this Saturday.

14.01.2022 My artist in residence job at the Augusta Primary School is great fun. The year 5 and 6 children produced some amazing mixed media work ready to be framed. The initial drawing work is really good too. Watch this space!! Awesome job children

12.01.2022 Gum Nuts I have been doing some preparation work ready to start my artist in residence job at Augusta Primary School on Monday. I am so looking forward to working with the children and staff there.

12.01.2022 A work day whilst camping in Walpole today. Amidst the endless rain, hail and freezing weather I created two sea drift garlands ready for our St Ayles Skiff launch next Sunday and a stormy mixed media piece of Conspicuous Cliffs . I am also working on a small felted piece.

11.01.2022 My artist in residence placement at Augusta Primary School is going really well and we are having a lot of fun. The children and staff are very busy producing some wonderful creative work with me. All the work will be exhibited for the community to view once finished and framed. The last two weeks I have been teaching how to make handmade wet felt.

11.01.2022 Today’s feltmaking workshop at Oriel Karridale Gallery and Studio. The ladies produced some wonderful work.

08.01.2022 ‘Ocean’ , a new mixed media artwork framed up and ready to hang. Another busy day in the gallery with my favourite new art work of Boranup Beach selling very quickly. Thank you to all who purchased paintings today.. I now have more gaps to fill with creativity.

06.01.2022 A busy few days here in my art studio. I have just completed two multi media paintings/ textiles of Boranup Beach. All framed up and ready to go. I have also been busy making more sea glass and drift birds which I frame up in simple classic white box frames. All ready to hang at Oriel Karridale Gallery and Hamelin Bay Wines.

05.01.2022 Today I am working on a commission of the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse. Mixed media.

05.01.2022 Karridale Gallery will be closed from Tuesday 20th April until Tuesday 27 th April. Reopening on Tuesday 27th April. We look forward to showing you our new exciting art and craft work.

02.01.2022 I have now finished painting the saw blade disc and it is displayed on the front entrance gate. Next project I have begun is a grass tree sculpture recycling coils of wire from a local winery.

02.01.2022 I’m busy working on a very heavy steel saw disc around a metre in diameter. I will be displaying this art piece on the entrance gate when finished.

01.01.2022 Good News. Oriel Karridale Gallery shop floor will be re-opening this Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4 pm. We have completed our Covid 19 safety plan and have implemented good hygiene practices with your safety in mind. Only four people will be allowed in the gallery at any one time and hand sanitizer will be provided at the door.... 01.01.2022 We are open again. A weeks break away ,then our St Ayles skiff launch and now its back to work! I have been busy creating sea drift garlands for the launch of our two new community rowing boats in Augusta. I now have several art commissions ready to complete.
