Seth is racing in a new CRG kart and a new class, KA2, this year and will... run under the Troy Farley Race Engines Banner. He will be competing in the Australian Kart Championship, the Rotax Pro Tour and the QLD State Titles. It will be a big year of racing and a lot of travelling for Seths last year as a Junior. We would like to thank Autobarn Cairns, Autobarn Smithfield, and DC Mechanical Repairs for once again coming on board to sponsor the team. 09.01.2022 The QLD Titles turned out to be a weekend of highs and lows after showing promising pace through out the weekend! After a downpour of rain Thursday, the first t...ime we’d hit a high track would be for qualifying where we’d achieve a time that would award us 3rd fastest which is where we’d start for the first two heats Heat 1: Finish 2, but would be awarded with the win! Heat 2: Finish 3 This would leave us tied for highest points Heat 3: Start 2 // DNF - after the motor fouled off the start we would eventually pull in due to loose wheel nuts yet would still be left second highest point scorer. Final: Start 2 // DNF after the bolt on the hub (the only part that wasn’t brand new on the kart) snapped causing the wheel to slide off. It sucks to miss out on a perfect opportunity for a podium finish at a state title, but it was definitely awesome to be confident with our pace! Massive thanks must go to Doug and Sam Chellingworth from DC Mechanical Repairs Full Throttle Racing. for everything they do to get us on track, and a massive congrats to Seth who drove an awesome race to finish 2nd in KA4 Junior! 03.01.2022 Today we launched the CRG Kart Academy. This is a programme that has been designed by Alastair Wootten from Formula Fit, in Silverdale. We are trying to prepare... this group of young racers to be at their best for the upcoming Kartsport New Zealand Nationals in Hamilton over the Easter weekend. The programme has been developed around fitness, nutrition and preparing the drivers mentally for the challenge on race weekend. All the drivers had a four-hour session today covering all of the above. Alastair will be on board at the Nationals supporting the drivers. I would like to thank Matt Carter for all the time and effort he has put into getting this off the ground. Looking forward to some good results! See more
