23.01.2022 BREAKING BORDER NEWS UPDATE FOR NSW KART CHAMPIONSHIP The NSW Government has this morning expanded the Victorian border region to incorporate a larger area. Thi...s expansion of the border region now permits Victorian Licence holders in regions such as Shepparton, Wodonga, Echuca and Wangaratta with the appropriate permit to attend the NSW Kart Championship hosted by the Sapphire Coast Kart Club in Bega, NSW. 22.01.2022 It's time to go racing again in Melbourne with the Oakleigh Go Kart Racing Club gearing up for an event this Saturday. Keep your eyes peeled on the Club's Face...book page for what the new restrictions mean for the event and when entries are set to open. In the meantime, Melbourne retailers including Melbourne Kart Centre and Prokarting have thrown their doors open this morning, be sure to contact them for all of your supplies so you're ready to hit the track.

We are open for practice all day Saturday an...d Sunday as well as our Wednesday night session under lights for Top Guns entrants only. We've just added an all day session for the 14th as well, bookings for all sessions can be made at https://www.trybooking.com/BJVTR Bookings close at 8pm the night before the session and we need your COVID forms by that time too. We will also be running a short working bee after practice on Saturday from 5pm, we'd really appreciate it if people could stick around for a bit and lend a hand. We'll just be focusing on tidying up the place and doing some whipper snipping and mowing so if you can, chuck your whipper snipper in the trailer before you come down.

18.01.2022 Good luck to Oscar Piastri (from the Oakeligh Go-Kart Racing Club) and Karting Victoria who is in the running to win this years 2020 Formula 3 championship in his debut year, with the deciding round at the famous home of Ferrari the Mugello race circuit in Italy this weekend. Oscar currently has an 8 point championship lead over team mate American Logan Sargeant but is starting from 16th after qualifying 11th due to a 5 grid penalty from the previous round. Race 1 is tonight (Saturday night) on Foxsports at 6:20pm, tune in and help spur him on!

17.01.2022 The government has finally released the new directions and we now have confirmation that Saturday's club day is going ahead as planned. Please carefully read th...e following points on entering and the restrictions on the day: Pre-entry is mandatory, there will be no entries taken on the day. Entries close at 11:59PM Thursday. Your address listed in CMS must be within 25km of the track or we will be unable to accept your entry. Non-members are welcome to enter. There is a maximum of 1 pit crew per kart, senior drivers that do not absolutely need pit crew please do not bring anyone. No spectators will be allowed. COVID declarations must be completed for both the driver and pit crew. Scrutineering forms must be completed online for each kart. Please complete all your forms as soon as you enter, this will really help us out when ticking off all your paperwork. All forms must be completed by the close of entries. The canteen will offer a limited menu for takeaway only. Masks must be worn at all times by anyone 12 and older. The... decision to postpone the start of the Championship has been made due to the current border restrictions across the country that have been applied since mid-December. Many people associate karting with young drivers..., but adults are also very active in karting. People of all ages can enjoy the sport with children as young as six getting behind the wheel. Karting teaches these children, both boys and girls, basic driving skills well before they are able to obtain their road licence. 05.01.2022 A big congratulations to Victorian karter Hugh Barter from the Go-Kart Club of Victoria who was invited to attend the third edition of the Richard Mille Young Talent Academy at the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans courtesy of Birel ART Australia. After many days of physical tests and assessments including testing of a F4 car Hugh was selected as the winner of the competition by a panel of judges, with the win including a scholarship that includes the opportunity for him to take part in the 2021 French F4 Championship! 04.01.2022 Wow what a day, the weather was trying but the track was fast. Today we saw the biggest clubday at Ballarat since the late 90’s with 88 entries, supported by o...ur friends from all over Country Victoria. A huge shout out to our faithful club members who pitched in to see we delivered for the crowd. To those that offered up their time to see a full Covid practice day leading into race day for those that haven’t been to Ballarat for a while, the girls who spent the day in the canteen, and the team in the tower and grids that stood in the sun and the rain to see us get through a testing meeting with Covid restrictions at max groups of 10. To all the competitors that come from near and far to support our club, thank you, and we hope to see you all again in the near future. Round three inter club challenge Wimmera Kart club November 8th, come along and enjoy the revival of Karting in Country Victoria.
