25.01.2022 KAURAH TEA GARDENS DCC JDTV UNDER 12s The JDTV 12s today progressed through to the Maitland Junior District Cricket U/12 Division 1 Grand Final next Saturday (21st March) after defeating the top seeded team, Norths Black.... Losing the toss and being sent into bat the JDTV Sharks got off to a slow and steady start after 10 overs were 5/43. The Norths team were bowling well and dismissed the Sharks for 61 in the 16th over. Tom Long 16 and Isaac Bills 15, were the best of the batters. A tough task was ahead of the Sharks and they started beautifully, dismissing the Norths top order inside the first 6 overs and it was all over after that. Tom Long was superb with a spell of 4 overs taking 4/13. Tequarn Tickner kept behind the stumps with a great stumping and taking a sharp catch off the bowling of Tom Long’s leg spinners. The bowlers supported the efforts of Tom Long, those who didn’t bowl fielded and caught well with only three sharp chances going to ground. Another great effort was Logue White and his two overs early taking the wicket of Morths best player following that with another a few balls later. Logue taking 2/5 off his 2 overs. Norths were dismissed in their 12th batting over for 41. Well done to the JDTV 12s, looking forward to seeing what you can produce next week in the grand final. Details of the ground location and times will be posted early next week if you can spare the time to support the boys. Posted by Colin McCarthy.

22.01.2022 First win of the season. Colin McCarthy (pictured) about to rip one to the fence on his way to a superb 124. Karuah won the toss and batted first and posted a healthy 242 runs of 35 overs for the loss of just 5 wickets. Young Lucas Barry chipped in with a fine 61 runs. Clarence Town were up to the challenge till drinks and were 1/104, but after drinks entered young Jack Bills 3/35 (7 overs) and young James McCarthy 3/19 (6 overs) to have Claro all out for 173.... Well Done Karuah

04.01.2022 KARUAH TEA GARDENS UNDER 12s Proudly team sponsored by JDTV Hawks Nest (Dave Ellam), in conjunction with the major club sponsor, the Karuah & District RSL Club (Ross Parr and the board of directors).... The JDTV 12s have one week left in their competition rounds, this weekend facing off against East Gresford at East Gresford Sportsground. They have played the second half of the season in Division 1, holding their own against a couple of stronger teams from the Maitland area. They currently sit 4th on the ladder and will qualify for a elimination semi final this Saturday week. A great year by this bunch of spirited young boys, some playing their first year at the club and others having been with us for the past four or five seasons. A good job by coach, Brent Bills, assisted by the parents ensuring the kids get to training each week has seen these boys develop their skills and contribute each in their own special way to the team. Keep going boys and let’s see how far you can go in the finals, we are all behind you. Colin McCarthy Secretary
